This bracket allows for an easier & cleaner MODE install.
* SATURN USE: If you will be using this in a Saturn it is important you select the correct Type. Unfortunately there is no guaranteed way by looking at the outside of the system to know which Type to choose. This will require you to open your Saturn to determine which Type you need by unscrewing the Saturn and opening it up. CLICK HERE for a guide on how to determine which Type to choose

WARNING: We consider this an Intermediate Level modification for the Saturn/Dreamcast. Meaning only those with some experience modding, disassembling systems, etc. should attempt this modification. Stone Age Gamer, nor the manufacturer, will warranty modifications that are not done properly. If you do not feel comfortable installing the MODE in the Saturn/Dreamcast yourself we highly suggest either using an approved modder (we offer this service for $44.99 which includes the 3D Printed Bracket, see Here for an installation guide using the bracket) or purchase a pre-installed system HERE or bundle the MODE and install service together HERE.

 

PlayStation:

Mod Level: Expert

Stone Age Gamer, nor the manufacturer, will warranty modifications that are not done properly. If you do not feel comfortable installing the MODE in the PlayStation yourself we highly suggest either using an approved modder (we offer this service for $99.99) or purchase a pre-installed system HERE or bundle the MODE and install service together HERE.

Compatible with Saturn and Dreamcast, same firmware for both systems. Compatible with both 20 pin and 21 pin Saturn consoles. Compatible with both 5v (VA0) and 3,3v (VA1) Dreamcast (proper voltage level conversion).
IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE VA2 DREAMCAST.

E) CLONE / MODIFIED CONSOLES – Flash carts / ODEs were developed and intended to be used on un-modified original hardware using original hardware accessories. Stone Age Gamer does not guarantee flash cart / ODE operation on clone consoles or modified consoles. Flash carts / ODEs may operate on some clone consoles or modified consoles. However, due to power consumption changes, random hardware changes and/or firmware updates of those consoles we cannot offer a guarantee of flash cart compatibility. Any returns due to incompatibility with clone consoles or modified consoles will result in no refund of any shipping costs and a 10% restocking fee if no defect is found during testing.

    This mod is the best thing you can do to your Dreamcast. The loading times on the MODE is amazing not matter what media you use. The GDEMU runs very slow on SD cards higher than 64g and the Interface looks horribly boring. I use this with the DC Digital HDMI mod and it works great with it also. I recommend getting the mounting bracket to make life easier. This is the worth the money. Really happy with it.

    I originally bought a MODE for my Dreamcast after the laser and disc drive failed. I have used the GDemu in the past and the MODE blows that absolutely away. The interface is beautiful and the SSD compatibility holds all my games, imports, and home brews!

    I bought two more MODEs and plan on installing them in my PlayStation and Saturn ASAP!

    Just grabbed a 2nd Mode for the DC, my first was installed in a Saturn. It's great, works with 100% of the games never had an issue. Be sure to update the firmware, it adds a gang of new features. I use mine with a HDD+SD card combo. Tried it with a SSD didn't notice much difference, seems wasteful so sticking with a normal HDD. Great device

    Very easy plug and play solution for the Sega Saturn, to enjoy some of the greatest games the Saturn has to offer.

    Terra Onion MODE

    First off the MODE: Id like to say this is the best ODE ive ever used but its the only ODE I ever used. That being said, the install into my Dreamcast was super easy and I have little moding experience. The instructions, downloadable from terra onion, walk you though installation step by step with large pictures. This is the best way to play Dreamcast games on original hardware. IMO.

    Stone age gamer is a delight to order from. The price is comparable to buying from terra onion directly but without the international shipping cost and transport times (if in the US) It arrived within a couple of days and they were nice enough to hold the item for me and combine with another item I order afterwards. Top of the class.

    Works flawless! Now I don't have to use my expensive disc and risk getting them scratched. At first I figured this was out my budget but them offering klarna as a payment option now I'm able to buy what I need and pay overtime.

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. All of my purchases from Stone Age Gamer have been Terraonion products including the MODE. The installation process on a Sega Saturn was simple, and the device works like a charm. If you're a hardcore gamer with a massive library of games and don't want the inconvenience of always swapping discs or putting strain on your console's optical laser then this product is for you.     Shipped fast and installed in a Dreamcast with no problems. Easy to navigate and quick to load games. Easy to swap in to other systems as well. The price is steep, but the quality is 2nd to none. Customer service was quick and helpful. I'll order from Stone Age Gamer again. Thanks!
