Terraria onion mode and Stone Age

Posted by Richard on Mar 8th 2024

One of the best products you can buy it has three different systems and it`s pretty much straightforward a drag and drop situation i have lot of these units and Stone Age Gamer does a very good job of answering all your questions I`ve been shopping with them for almost 10 years so if you haven`t give them a chance you should definitely do so you won`t regret it especially this product

    TerraOnion mode

Posted by Julia on Feb 5th 2024

Seriously as easy as drag and drop. I`m so used to console modding requiring at least a little troubleshooting. Not today. To get this set up was as easy as unscrewing my Dreamcast, removing the old optical drive. Dragging some files onto a hard drive. Then plug the hard drive into the MODE and the MODE into the Dreamcast and its all goodtogo!

    Superb!

Posted by Eythan on Jan 25th 2024

While I originally had my reservations about the price point in comparison to a GDEmu, those were squashed once it showed up. It`s safe to say this is a quality product, and is a must-have for all Dreamcast owners.

Great way to load all owned games

Posted by Todd Rodgers on Dec 12th 2023

I just got my first Dreamcast as an early Christmas gift from my wife. A co-worker of her`s told me about this site and I saw I had a VA1 model DC so this mod made sense. Very simple install and it worked straight away. Getting the preformatted SSD along with the cover art was a good decision. Highly recommend

    Terraonion MODE Dreamcast

Posted by Matt Van Bodegraven on Dec 5th 2023

This is just what I needed on my Dreamcast to update it. I also go the bracket and SD loader. This makes keeping my Dreamcast modern without the slow load times. Just need to get one for my PS1

    TERRAONION MODE

Hands down the best ODE solution for the SEGA Dreamcast. Able to fit the entire library on a SSD is awesome, and pairs very well with the DC2DigitalHW mod.

Possibly the Best Investment for Dreamcast

Posted by John on Jun 2nd 2023

I love this device. Nothing beats running the games from an SSD. The menu is very cool with box art and quality of life bonuses. No regrets on this investment.

Basically drag and drop once setup.

Posted by JJ on May 4th 2023

The Mode is a solid product for the Saturn and Dreamcast. The ability to use a HDD and drag and drop files with optional subfolders is the big draw. The other ODE solutions are less money, but difficult to obtain and setup. I do take a star off as Terraonion has customer support issues (buy from SAG to avoid some of these) and they don`t really strive to make their existing products the best they can be. No firmware updates like you would see on Krikzz products even when issues are known and documented. Despite this there isn`t anything out that tops an SSD plus a MODE for the Saturn or Dreamcast. Avoid it for the PSX

    Restored my Saturn

Posted by Brandon Soards on Apr 15th 2023

The Terraonion MODE brought my Saturn back to life. I didn`t realize how much failing optical sensors and disc rot was weighing on me. After I got this installed, it feels like I have a brand new console. I ordered the Saturn install kit. Screwing into a 3D-printed product was a little rough, but having gotten through it, it does hold the MODE in the Saturn very well. My only wish is that the SD card slot could`ve been mounted closer to the opening of the Saturn, so that I could remove it without taking off the top case. I only load on bin/cues of games I physically own, so it does mean I have to take it apart every time I load a new image.
