Excellent Service from US to UK

Posted by Matthew on Sep 4th 2024

I previously had the Intel model but it didn`t work very well with my console sadly.
Now I`ve purchased the Xilinx model and it has exceeded my expectations and works extremely well with my Tower of Power.

Whole heartedly recommend buying from SAG it came much faster than I expected from the US to UK

    TerraOnion`s MegaSD

Posted by Alex on Aug 14th 2024

Let`s get this out of the way, SAG service was absolutely impeccable.

About the MegaSD: the hardware is great and feels high quality. The software is mature and everything works pretty much perfectly, except a couple crashes here and there. CD+G support works great as well.

Small annoyance: the microSD card slot is extremely recessed and inserting a card is way more annoying than it should be.
The menu also doesn`t remember the previous folder entered so when you go back a folder, you`re at the top of the list which is very annoying when you`re browsing many folders consecutively.

What`s missing: In-game menu for Master System, naming cheats (and for MegaSD to remember if enabled or not as currently cheats are disabled after reset).

Protip: format your microSD card to FAT32, exFAT is more prone to crashing. Also if you place a ``BG.wav`` file (44.1Khz/16bit) at root, it`ll play in the menu!

    Very happy with this purchase.
Hoping TerraOnion will continue to provide firmware updates to make it even better.

    Great Accessory!

Posted by Kristopher Ayers on Aug 7th 2024

This thing is awesome! If your interested I`d recommend watching Sega Lord X review on youtube. Buying it here didn`t cost anymore than going directly to TerraOnion because there was no foreign transaction fee or additional taxes. You also won`t run the risk of getting one with an Intel chip and it arrived within a couple days of purchase. I`m very satisfied and am throughly enjoying playing Sega CD!

    Great, Albeit A Bit Pricey

Posted by Mario Martinez on Aug 7th 2024

First, kudos to SAG for always getting my orders delivered within 2 days. I really wanted the Everdrive Pro from Krikkz, and even though it was cheaper and available on Krikkz`s website, shipping could`ve taken weeks. This unit was almost 100 more when taxes and shipping were added, but I knew it would arrive quickly. As far as the flash cart goes.I think it works very well. I had my SD card prepared and ready when the Mega SD arrived, and after popping it into the cart, and plugging it into my Genesis model 2, it started right up. Background sound file worked. and all files and folders are showing up and booting and playing just like individual carts or cd`s. I had been using a cheap Everdrive knockoff which worked pretty well, but I can easily tell the difference in not only picture quality, but sound quality as well. MD+ games add a nice touch to some titles, but I have noticed issues in the form of glitches which sometimes spring up especially when trying to pull up the in game menu. Regular Genesis and Sega CD titles work fine though and its nice to have the ability for save states especially on non SRAM enabled titles. As far as functionality, everything is pretty self explanatory or easy to navigate and set up preferences. I did notice a bit of noise that comes through the speakers as the cart is working its magic, but its not a deal breaker. The knockoff Everdrive I had been using prior to this also exhibited the same behavior and was a bit worse. Overall I`m satisfied with this product. I had been emulating using a Genesis Mini before I decided to get a real Genesis, and the difference between using real hardware and emulation is night and day. So, I`m glad I can use this flash cart as an all in one solution to play and discover tons of great Sega games from one of their best consoles.

    Mega SD

Posted by David Oosting on Jun 27th 2024

So far I`m very happy with the Mega SD! Setup was easy just like any other flash card I`ve used and so far every game has worked perfectly. I like the menu with the little title screen shot which was also easy to set up just follow the guides on the wiki.

I have yet to set up the MD+ supported games but am looking forward to it. The only thing that I prefer with an everdrive so far is the option to select a random game, which I would think to be an easy function to implement with a software change.

I picked this over an everdrive to go with something different and I can`t say I regret my purchase, definitely happy!

    Best birthday gift ever!

Posted by Wezlypipz on Dec 4th 2023

I had a phenomenal experience with Stone Age Gamer as well as the MegaSD. The item arrived tightly packed just two days after I ordered it on a Friday afternoon! I received my item on Sunday and it truly made my day. I`m using the MegaSD with a model 2 Sega Genesis and after an hour or so of setup everything has been loading and playing perfectly.
