The all-in-one solution to simplify it all!

Posted by Daniel L. on Apr 13th 2023

Though it`s hardly a hassle to swap out cartridges from a GBA, I loved the idea of this everdrive allowing me to have my game library on my GameBoy player as well as on my GBA that I take with me. It`s exceeded my expectations with the ease of use (it`s literally as simple as dragging and dropping files), impressed me with the functionality (I had no clue it could function as an emulator!?), and allowed me to explore with save file editing. The firmware menu is great for tinkering with every little setting.

Very, very pleased with the new life this little cartridge has breathed into my GBA experience!

    Everdrive GBA X5

Posted by Ceil on Mar 15th 2022

The Everdrive is everything I hoped it would be and more. Since getting my hands on it I've been able to play Metroid Fusion, Zero Mission, and Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap from start to finish on original hardware and it has been an absolute blast. The hex viewer also helped me find a problem with my copy of Zero Mission that was preventing it from booting correctly and after editing the header and trying it again it worked flawlessly. My only gripe is with the micro sd card slot, since I normally keep my nails quite short I've had some difficulty when trying to insert or remove the card, nothing major and I don't need to often, but it can be a little frustrating at times. All in all, I'm very happy with my Everdrive, it was worth every penny.

    Excellent Flash Cart

    Posted by JTD121 on Oct 8th 2021

Being one of two flash carts I have, this is excellent.

After some bunk ROMs just not loading up, I can say this investment was quite fortunate.

I can now play games that either are now out of my price zones (thanks, collectors!), or are hard to find.

I mostly wanted this to play some of the games I used to have and enjoy and have been lost to time.

My only grip is the SD card ejection mechanism. I know it was reworked to be flush with the top, but you still need a long fingernail or some kind of prodding tool (paperclip, pen cap, sturdy thin cardboard). Minor grip compared to the whole package, though!

Works great. And the emulators for GB/GBC/NES/SMS/GG are a fantastic addition!

Clean and easy to use interface. Great compatibility. And GB/GBC emulation works great with the Goomba Color emulator.

    Everdrive GBA X5 mini

Works great, looks nice and sleek. Also it does offer an objective advantage over the regular X5 in that it really fits nicely on the gba's cartridge slot. I used to have the older version and i would have to struggle a bit to get the cart out, well not anymore, goes in and out wonderfully. Five stars.

Excellent, Easy to Use, No Issues

Posted by ParagonAlex on Apr 7th 2021

If you are looking for a GBA flash cart, this is the cart to beat nowadays, especially given it remains one of the few widely available. But battery life with the use of this excellent flash cart is unparalleled, and support for clock based events is very welcome. The one drawback is that you cannot use this for dumping ROMs directly to cart via DS/DSLite, but FTP works just as well for this purpose. Overall, excellent and easy to use. Highly recommended.
