This cable allows you to replace the stock 40mm fan on the 3DO FZ-1 with a quiet aftermarket one like the Noctua 12v 40mm.
NOTE: Only the North America FZ-1 came with a fan preinstalled. If you have a PAL or JP region machine, they didn't come with fans preinstalled and the header on the motherboard and supporting components are missing. So unless you want to add those back in, consider this cable just for North America consoles that had fans factory installed.
I have a PAL 3DO and that does not come with a fan as standard. Currently in the process of adding the needed components to my console. However, the cable is well made and I would expect that it works fine.
I purchased the 3DO FZ-1 fan cable adapter so I could replace my 3DO fan with a quiet NF-A4x10 FLX fan. The adapter worked perfectly, and the fan makes the 3DO nearly silent vs. the noisy stock fan.
