Whereas the Deluxe Edition includes the cartridge with gold back label, a case, printed manual, an FXPAK Pro sticker, Stone Age Gamer sticker, and is covered by a 2-year Warranty.

Features

  • microSD supported (tested up to 64GB; no exFAT support so SDXC cards must be reformatted using FAT32).
  • Fast ROM loading (~9MB/s).
  • Fast menu navigation.
  • Directories are sorted automatically, no need for FAT sorting tools.
  • High resolution menu (512×224) for adequate display of long file names.
  • Real Time Clock.
  • Supports ROM size up to 128MBit (96Mbit actually implemented).
  • Automatic near-time SRAM saving to SD Card (while the game runs). Some limitations apply:
    • near-time saving is switched to periodic saving when a game is found to use the SRAM as work RAM.
    • Automatic saving is disabled when MSU1 is used. SRAM is saved on reset.
    • Enhancement chip support (see below for implementation status).
  • SuperCIC key (SNES CIC clone):
    • enables operation on unmodified consoles of all regions.
    • supports software 50/60Hz switching on SuperCIC enhanced consoles only (to be performed by FXPAK firmware, not yet implemented there).
    • Auto region patching: eliminates “This Game Pak is not designed…” messages regardless of 50/60Hz setting.

Amazing Flash Cart. If you are on the fence about buying one of these, do yourself a favor and buy it. You will not regret it. Top-notch quality!! If you get the deluxe edition, you`ll get a case to store it, a manual, and two years warranty. StoneAge Gamer`s customer service is excellent, and they will go above and beyond to make it right for you!

Poor out of box experience, that aside it's money well spent.

Somewhat poor out of the box experience without instructions. Perhaps Stone Age Gamer assumed everyone would use Google. Hate to say it but back in the day things used to come with manuals, who's the audience for this flash drive any how? There's no information on button shortcuts for reset and functions of that nature. The menu is somewhat unintuitive for a first time user. The "enhancement chip" files are not provided, it would be nice if there was an explanation of why they're not available for download --- especially considering we've just shelled out for an expensive FPGA.

I have the NES Everdrive also, it's excellent, so worth it! It was far easier to figure out and the instructions were much more complete. Once I finished Googling and got everything up and running, this FXPAK-PRO is definitely a fantastic product as well. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Works wonders with my OG SNES and my SuperNT, a great way to enjoy your retro collection and beyond! And the SAG version adds some extra style for that complete nostalgic look!

    FXPak Pro

Just ordered from Stone Age Gamer for the second time in the last few years for an FXPak Pro - shipping to Canada was very fast, the packaging was immaculate, and the product was as advertised! Would definitely do business again in the future.

Awesome addition to any SNES console

Posted by Rob on Jul 5th 2021

I'm actually using this cart on an Analogue Super NT. Why you might ask, since the unit itself can also play games? Well this cart supports a lot more games for one, and it also has save states (not for all games though, sadly). The cart not only works perfectly, the packaging is superb! Also, make sure you get the deluxe upgrade. It's a very nice case to store your FXPack in (it's not cheap after all)
