Forever Pak 64 256KB Memory Pak for Nintendo 64

Battery-free saving means you’ll never worry about losing your N64 game saves again.

Why Choose Forever Pak 64?

Original N64 Controller Paks rely on battery-backed SRAM. When that internal battery dies, your save files disappear forever. The Forever Pak 64 replaces outdated battery-backed chips with modern, non-volatile FRAM memory—preserving your saves indefinitely without requiring a battery.

  • Original Capacity: 256kb (4 banks) of storage—matches OEM controller paks exactly.
  • Premium Hardware: Custom circuit board featuring gold-plated contacts and beveled edges to protect your controller port.
  • Authentic Feel & Fit: Custom injection-molded shell matched to official N64 colors. Prefer the original look? The PCB drops right into an original OEM shell with zero modifications required.
  • No Color Markup: Pick your favorite matching color without paying extra.
  • Bonus Sticker Labels: Includes 2 writable labels for tracking your save files (or displaying on your forehead).

FAQ

Does the Forever Pak work with the DexDrive?
Yes, but it must be formatted using the DexDrive before initial use.

Note: This is a Controller Memory Pak used for saving game data. It is not the console-installed Expansion Pak used for increasing RAM.

    Amazing

Posted by Robert Guidry on Jul 23rd 2023

I`ve been playing n64 since it came out my whole life, I recently had 2 performance memory paks give out. I had saves I wanted to keep of my fathers after he passed away. No one has played this console more then him. I even lost my completed shadowman file and my over 2 decades of frags in rage wars. These memory paks will blow you away in terms of quality and reliability. Don`t be afraid to swap to a rumble pak when the game says to do so. The colors pop and look amazing, if you are an everdrive user you can also make copies of your memory cards onto the cart if you are still worried. There`s no telling what new mods or homebrew we`ll get in the future, get these things now.

    Works great!

Wanted to play Gauntlet Legends but our original N64 memory pak died out. This one works perfectly and shouldn`t have the same battery-related lifespan issue as the original. Has a nice color and fits in the controller perfectly just like the original did. Recommended!

Perfect solution for those getting into the N64!

Posted by Ivan A Morales on Jun 20th 2023

For those who don`t know, the original Controller Pak for the N64 is known for their rampant corruption due to using battery backup, even with OED Controller Pak`s. This however, replaces the battery for flash memory, which is PERFECT for those wanting to save games with high amounts of notes. Currently using this for ISS 98 and it`s just what I need, especially when I`m also able to connect it to USB to transfer the notes to dropbox and replace saves whenever I wish!

These things are great and match the aesthetic of the original gray controller and Paks. Modern retro perfektion.

Excellent build quality, in a form fitting, attractive box. The Forever Pak is OEM level quality, and works with absolutely no issues. This is the kind of reliable solution I wanted for my N64 saves, and I`ll probably buy a few more of these. Very happy!

    Fantastic Upgrade

So glad I was able to get this and transfer all my saves over to this new Memory Pak without worrying about my saves being lost. Was able to preserve my Mario Kart 64 ghost times and Rayman 2 save data. Thanks Stone Age Gamer!

    N64 Forever Pack

Posted by Evan T on Feb 2nd 2023

I absolutely love the N64 Forever Pack. Have been using it with my Brawler64 wireless controller for Tony Hawk 2 and it looks great. High quality. No issues noticed. It works well and doesn`t give you that pesky ``corrupt memory card`` message I always got with my previous 3rd party memory cards. Definitely recommend for N64 fans.

    Jungle Green Forever Pak

Posted by David S on Jan 15th 2023

So far it`s been working great! I transfered my saves off my old memory card, and so far its been working great. The color is a bit darker than the Jungle green n64, but matches the retro bit n64 controller. Still looks great in either though.
