Forever Pak 64 256KB Memory Pak for Nintendo 64

Battery-free saving means you’ll never worry about losing your N64 game saves again.

Why Choose Forever Pak 64?

Original N64 Controller Paks rely on battery-backed SRAM. When that internal battery dies, your save files disappear forever. The Forever Pak 64 replaces outdated battery-backed chips with modern, non-volatile FRAM memory—preserving your saves indefinitely without requiring a battery.

  • Original Capacity: 256kb (4 banks) of storage—matches OEM controller paks exactly.
  • Premium Hardware: Custom circuit board featuring gold-plated contacts and beveled edges to protect your controller port.
  • Authentic Feel & Fit: Custom injection-molded shell matched to official N64 colors. Prefer the original look? The PCB drops right into an original OEM shell with zero modifications required.
  • No Color Markup: Pick your favorite matching color without paying extra.
  • Bonus Sticker Labels: Includes 2 writable labels for tracking your save files (or displaying on your forehead).

FAQ

Does the Forever Pak work with the DexDrive?
Yes, but it must be formatted using the DexDrive before initial use.

Note: This is a Controller Memory Pak used for saving game data. It is not the console-installed Expansion Pak used for increasing RAM.

Kiss your old, volatile controller paks goodbye!

Posted by Patrick on Jan 13th 2024

If you grew up with N64, you know how volatile those official and unofficial controller paks were. Lost, corrupted save files were so common, but I`m thankful this thing washes away all that anxiety! Works just like the old ones but with no issues in saving/formatting/risk of losing files.

Modern Solution to a Retro Problem

Posted by Nate on Aug 31st 2023

These are such an awesome product for anyone who loves retro gaming or the N64. Those of us who play retro games just as much as modern games have really been spoiled lately with all of the updated/modern tech being created for old systems. The Forever Pak 64 is another instance where the product feels futureproof and as though we finally have a perfect solution for an old retro console problem.
