A great product for an N64 fan

Posted by Adriano on Jun 6th 2024

What more can you possibly ask for the Nintendo 64. An amazing way to play all your games with 1 cartridge. And can emulate NES games as a +. Super easy to set up and its plug and play after that.

The ED64 x7 is the ultimate N64 cart

Posted by Mark T on Jul 2nd 2023

Having grown up with an N64 during the last few years of its life cycle, I have incredibly fond memories of playing Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye, Banjo Tooie, Conker`s and more for hours on end. When I started my game collecting journey, I knew N64 was going to be one of the staples of my collection. the Everdrive gives me peace of mind, knowing my carts in my collection will stay in perfect condition while using the ED64 to play any game I want at the drop of a hat. I have been able to discover some great games from other regions, romhacks, and more because of this incredible device. Whole heartedly recommended!

    Essential in my eyes

Posted by Owen on Jan 12th 2023

Not much else to touch on that hasn’t already been said, but I’ll echo the same sentiments from other reviewers and say that this really is a great investment if you’re a big N64 fan. As of writing, there aren’t any FPGA-based N64 cores out there yet so real hardware + an Everdrive x7 is the next best thing if you want accuracy + low lag. Having access to your entire game library in one cart (plus translations + hacks!) on real hardware is a dream setup. Combine that with a Retrotink scaler, Eon’s HDMI N64 adapter, or even an HDMI mod and you’re golden.

    Amazing!

Posted by Sam Wolf on Jun 15th 2022

This is by far the one of the best things I have ever owned because it finally allows me to play my old N64 games with having to constantly worry about damaging my old cartridges. I would recommend this for anyone who has any fond memories of the N64.

    Excellent product

Easy to use, I highly recommend this for any N64 user. It's great for mods, hacks, and homebrews too. An excellent way to preserve your roms without having to pull your carts in and out of the console.

    Life-changing

Posted by Adrian Petrescu on Nov 23rd 2021

These flash carts completely change your entire relationship with retro consoles. You no longer need to hoard, store, and manipulate carts. And of course the Everdrive is the best in class.

    Would recommend for virtually everyone.

    The Last N64 Flashcart?

Posted by Donald on Sep 27th 2021

I've been wanting to get into flashcarts for years but the constant innovation and increasing compatibility coupled with the steep asking prices made me hold off. Now it seems we're entering the golden age of flashcarts and it's finally time to buy. The ED64 has perfect compatibility as far as I'm aware, includes patching and GameShark options, does instant saving to the SD card (as opposed to older models that wrote the save to the SD card on the next startup), and can COMMUNICATE WITH EXTERNAL COMPUTERS THROUGH THE MICRO USB PORT. Everything else would be all I could ask for in a flashcart but that last feature is the definition of extra. I've already used it with a homebrew tool to rip saves from GameBoy carts through the Transfer Pak directly to my computer and apparently its being considered for use to enable net play for multiworld OOT randomizers ON CONSOLE. What more could you ask for in an N64 flashcart. I actually really don't know, this is already more than I could ask for. Oh, it also plays NES games because why not.
