Best flash cart on the market.

Not much more to say. It's exactly what you want. Looks great. Fantastic build quality. Loads and plays GBA roms exactly like the original cartridges.

Using this with the GameboyInterface on a gcloader with Swiss. It’s perfect. Also it works with larger sd cards that it states. Thanks to stoneage gamer for formatting it correctly ahead of time.

Works flawless and easy to set up. Didn’t bother w/ Goomba, etc. but all other games play just fine. X7 will eventually have save states etc I’m sure but this is worth every penny

Great Way To Play GBA, Extra Benefits as Well

Posted by Joe on Sep 12th 2021

If you are looking for a great way to play GBA games this is a great option. I have tested it in a GB Advance SP, a DS and the Nintendo Gamecube gameboy player both with the official software and the GBI (Game Boy Interface) homebrew with great results. Setup is not hard at all, just make sure to get the most up to date software, drop onto a FAT32 formatted microsd, and start adding the files. A minor complaint is the GBA menu seems to have a limit of 69 pages, as anytime I had a full library it would truncate the list and remove some of the later titles. Because of this, I would highly suggest making alphabetical folders if you are hoping to have full sets of games on this device. I had no had this issue with my FXPakPro so it may just be something about this drive, but still an easy fix and now all my games show up as they should with better organization. Translated games and various romhacks for the GBA have also worked just fine, the auto region select seems to handle any Japanese or Euro games with ease and I have yet to find any GBA games that glitch out on me. The device can also run Sega Master System, Sega Game Gear, Nintendo Entertainment System and Game Boy/Game Boy Color via various emulators built with the GBA in mind. These are not perfect however and you may notice some scaling issues with some titles, and others may fail to boot or have other strange glitches. But the overall performance is passable and a nice bonus for having more games on the go. Do not purchase it with these emulators as your main focus as you are probably better off getting a dedicated everdrive for those consoles, but having some extra functionality on top of great GBA support is an excellent perk. Overall very happy with the device, and would highly suggest it for anyone interested in this consoles library.

    Just works

Posted by agj on Aug 2nd 2021

The form factor being the same as a regular GBA cartridge, it sits flush with my Game Boy Micro. I previously used an old M3, which jutted out a bit and made it uncomfortable to hold. The Everdrive X5 mini's software is simple and to the point, no unnecessary customization or "artfully" designed icons and backgrounds, just a plain menu from which to browse and find the games. Pressing start loads the game last played, which is a convenient shortcut. In all it loads fast, plays games with no problems for me so far, and simply never gets in the way.

    Really Good Flashcart

Posted by Austin Hoople on Jul 22nd 2021

From the relatively short time that I've had my EverDrive GBA-X5 Mini, I can tell that this is a good quality flashcart. It plays my GBA games about as well as any GBA cartridge, and the included emulators all work as intended. The RTC is a nice feature to have for certain games (such as Pokemon), and it's nice to know that replacing the internal battery is super easy. Also, the build quality for the cartridge is really nice, about as good as any officially produced GBA cartridge. This is an easy recommendation from me to anybody who wants their own GBA flashcart.

    Great Flash Cart

Posted by Carlos on Jun 27th 2021

This was the first flash cart that I have ever used and I have gotta say, it's great. Playing games on their original hardware is way better than an emulator on PC. At first it took me a little bit of time to be able to properly load a rom, but I quickly got the hang of it and now it's super easy. would recommend buying.

    EverDrive-GBA X5 Mini

Posted by Rogelio Toledo on Jun 26th 2021

Worked great. Excellent product, I no longer need to deal with cartridges and possibly losing them. I can put all my games on this. My plan was to only buy a Everdrive for my NES but it was such a great product that I have now also purchased it for my SNES, N64 and now Gameboy Advance. I highly recommend them all.

I always get my gear from StoneAge Gamer!

Posted by Andrew Gist on May 17th 2021

Stoneage is always quick, informative, with open communication. And with the prices of everdrives being pretty much equal wherever you go, that alone makes it more valuable to shop here.
The Clamshells are a nice touch, too! I always get them!
The newest Everdrive GBA fits perfectly in my Metal shell from Boypixel.Case does not scratch the everdrive. And with this everdrive, I was finally able to play Zelda 4 swords with 4 people, on 4 carts! Just make sure you have the correct region ROM file. Which if you dumped it from your own cart, should be no problem ;)
