HD Retrovision Super Nintendo YPbPr Component Cable

The HD Retrovision SNES YPbPr Component Cable is a gift to your eyeballs. In the past, you would be stuck playing Mega Man X and Star Fox with cables that resulted in color striping and bleeding. Those problems are a thing of the past when you start playing your Super Nintendo with an HD Retrovision YPbPr cable. Use them on an HDTV that supports 240p, or on a standard-definition CRT for that classic look.

The following chart contains a list of tested and confirmed console models which have been verified to work with the SNES YPbPr Cable. The intent of this list is to give a general idea of what types of consoles can work with the cable, and is not exhaustive. Therefore, we expect the cable to work with even more models and console types than what is listed, but we are unable to explicitly put them in the list unless functionality is directly confirmed by us.

As highlighted below, there is no out-of-the-box solution for using the SNES/SFC "mini" (SNS-101 / SHVC-101) or Nintendo 64 with the SNES YPbPr cable. These specific consoles require internal modification. The modification services listed within the chart are the only ones approved by HD Retrovision. Self-installation kits or other similar types of services are NOT supported under warranty.

The Real Deal

If you`re reading this you know what these are. But they`re not just RGB cables with a built in YPbPr transcoder. The quality is unmatched. I have a ton of cables causing interference and many other cheaper quality cables in the setup (e.g. cheap ps2 component cables) have a lot of interference due to the shear volume of consoles hooked up to one CRT. These SNES cables produce a perfect, clean, interference free picture. The brightness switch is also a nice touch as I have a modded 1chip SNES. 5 Stars. Will buy more cables for any systems I get down the line.

Using this cable makes the Super Nintendo look like an emulator! The pixels are so sharp, it`s almost unbelievable. Perfect cable. No complaints!

N64 RGB Mod

This cable works perfectly with my modded N64 console. I recently installed Volultar`s N64 RGB mod and I use this component cable to connect to a RetroTINK 2X Pro. (I prefer the look of most games from RGB mods than the appearance from HDMI mods.)
I actually NEED this cable to get the better quality image out, as other supposed n64 component cables don`t work properly, and I am unaware of any other options. This cable is actually recommended by RetroRGB for my mod and is listed by HD Retrovision as officially supporting my mod.
I was led to StoneAge Gamer directly by HD Retrovision, and the price here is much better than the scalped options available at, *ahem*, the biggest second-hand online re-seller website.
I have not run this component cable past power cables, but I`m confident the shielding in this component cable is helping me to negate interference from the significant amount of electromagnetic radiation put out by my nearby server, computers, A/V receiver, access point, and other electronics.
I am happy with this cable!

The packaging and delivery time where excellent to Mexico, no problems at all. The cable is super high quality and is the only video connection you will ever need for your RGB modded n64. No audio crosstalk, and great colors in the video signal.

Bought these to use for my Super Nintendo on my CRT display. The image is crisp and colorful and I couldn`t be happier. Great cables, highly recommended for use on a CRT that can handle component input.
