Great way to enjoy AES without winning the lottery

Posted by Mike X on Jan 23rd 2022

Purchased this after realizing that collecting AES games has become a hobby for the wealthy. Works great, and has nice funtionality beyond game emulation (arcade mode is nice for a geezer like me who can't dedicate the hours to practicing with 3 continues max). Support throough TerraOnion is great; only inconvenience is that you have to create an account to access files. Loading times can be long, but given I am only an occasional player its ok vs. spending more for the Pro cart.

    NEOSD

Posted by Josh Brown on Dec 6th 2021

Very happy with my purchase and have no regrets not getting the NEOSD PRO.

The rom converting software was easy to use and the cart is easy to use and set-up.

The larger size roms still load pretty quick and the interface is great.

    Christmas

Posted by Cathy on Nov 26th 2021

Hello everyone I am French, I apologize in advance if my comment is badly written or badly translated I would like to buy this product because my boyfriend found a Neo Geo last month, it's the console of his childhood, he had dreamed of it for years. I think this Neo Sd Aes would make him very happy for Christmas. Being a little younger than him, I don't know this console, but I really want to play it and discover this world. Thank you all for reading me and have a good holiday season

    NeoSD

Posted by NastyB on Nov 14th 2021

I'm really happy with this purchase. I might help some people out there that are in the same situation I was in, I was waiting for the Darksoft cart or the neoSd pro to get in stock, when I realized they weren't coming back any time soon I just bit the bullet and bought this as a last resort.

I've got zero regrets. This does everything I want it to do, and I seriously don't care at all about the extra ram slots because I don't know what I want to play until I decide to play it. The load times mean nothing to me as they're reasonable... I just pick the game I want, get up and go to the bathroom, and when I come back it's ready to go. I'm actually really happy I didn't spend 700 bucks on the pro as this works perfectly fine. And as far as flash carts go, I love how this one works- being able to sort games by genre is awesome I wish all my other carts did that. Bottom line- if you are holding out on the Darksoft or the neoSd pro like I was... Don't bother, save some money as this cart is great and the load times are minimal and not even worth complaining about. The neo geo has like 150 games top.. you know what you wanna play once you get it loaded and it runs perfectly.

ESSENTIAL for every AES fan that's not a billionaire

Posted by Ryan Costello on Nov 10th 2021

Exactly what I was looking for. I love collecting AES carts, but many are too expensive for me to realistically ever own. The NeoSD allows me to have access to the full library, but play on my AES console with original controller. Works perfectly with all games. Takes about 30-90 seconds to flash games depending on the size. Can't recommend this enough for any neo geo fan.

    Absolutely fantastic

Posted by Sayaka on Oct 26th 2021

I'm very satisfied with this flashcart, and couldn't ask for much more than this. I honestly don't think having slightly faster loading times or 4 slots is that much of an upgrade. This is perfectly fine as it is. The game compatibility is what counts in my opinion. I'd recommend this any day.

    NEOSD AES

Posted by ikari on Sep 16th 2021

    Hello

Hello, I got to buy and play to this NEOSD AES for years now. It still works perfectly on my European NEOGEO. I have many different retro console too. I can tell you that this piece of hardware is one of the most valuable gear I have so far. Also I can download and use home-brews and bootleg games with it. Beside that if someday i will have to get a bit of money back from my other older NEOGEO AES genuine cartridges then i could sale those ones because I know that I can still play with the NEOSD AES that I would keep as my last game cartridge. Well overall this is Good fun to own this kit and easy to use. Great Buy experience on this webstore. Thank You again Stoneage Gamer & Terraonion !

    NeoSD AES

Posted by Dennis Plester on Jun 23rd 2021

The NeoSD AES, like the NeoSD MVS I purchased previously, works exactly as expected and perfectly meets my needs. I like to have my old consoles set up so I can plug them in, fire them up and have access to my library without changing cartridges, so I can keep my collections in their boxes and on display.

Some might find only having one game instantly playable at a time to be a bit restricting, and if that is the case, go for the Pro version instead, but it does not take that long for your next choice to flash across, and I tend to start a game intending to keeping playing for a while anyway. The menu system is relatively simple but works well.

The NeoSD series can seem expensive compared to flash carts for other systems, but are worth it when you consider the convenience and the relative value of game cartridges for the system.
