This is the Grid - Black version of the Mega EverDrive Pro. This cartridge comes assembled in a black shell with gray Grid label. This cartridge is compatible with all regions including the Japanese Mega-drive Model 1.

D) MODIFICATION & USE – Any unauthorized modification and/or non-intended use of this or any other flash cart product sold by Stone Age Gamer shall void both manufacturer and retailer warranties of that product.

E) CLONE / MODIFIED CONSOLES – Flash carts / ODEs were developed and intended to be used on un-modified original hardware using original hardware accessories. Stone Age Gamer does not guarantee flash cart / ODE operation on clone consoles or modified consoles. Flash carts / ODEs may operate on some clone consoles or modified consoles. However, due to power consumption changes, random hardware changes and/or firmware updates of those consoles we cannot offer a guarantee of flash cart compatibility. Any returns due to incompatibility with clone consoles or modified consoles will result in no refund of any shipping costs and a 10% restocking fee if no defect is found during testing.

    This flashcart is a quality product. My backups play flawlessly and are indistinguishable from the real cartridges. The ability to use save states is great for difficult games. I got the black grid style and it matches perfectly with my jp mega sg from analogue. The added sega cd support is the icing on the cake. I would definitely recommend this product.

    Is SEGA CD essential? Or is it a novelty?

    For starters I upgraded from an Everdrive X7 to the Pro so I'm fairly familiar with Krikzz work.

    Here's the rub: the X7 has about 90% functionality of this for about 2/3 of the cost, and to top it off the Pro is unable to use save states while playing SEGA CD.

    if those things don't matter to you and you just want the best then stop reading and buy it already, everything the TerraOnion cart can do this does cheaper and in a smaller cart.

    Sega CD compatiblility is undeniably a game changer. Very happy with this purchase, if you enjoy MD/Genesis this is an absolute must purchase!

    The evolution of the first everdrive.

    When the first Mega Everdrive (called Everdrive MD) came out we were happy with just the ability to play games no special features just Genesis/MegaDrive and MasterSystem games to play and cheat codes, then the Mega Everdrive and after the X series started to expand the capabilities with RTC, no reset save,save states,in game menu.
    Now with the latest evolution you get the ability to play sega CD games without the need of a CD unit and expanded features like the MSU-MD that replaces the audio tracks for cd quality audio on regular gennesis games that never had it directly from sega, all the best features from previous everdrives are included and more, the selection screen doesn't have to be a black screen with yellow letters anymore you can use a background image to skin it too.

    Also as an unrelated bonus there is an experimental Nintendo NES emulator added so sega fans can say genesis does what nintendont.

    As always if you are looking at this page we both know you want it so go ahead and order it cause hours of fun await you, and a few things you couldn't do before on a real console are waiting ready for you!
