This is the Base Black version of the Mega EverDrive Pro, nothing fancy. This cartridge comes assembled with a black shell and basic label.

D) MODIFICATION & USE – Any unauthorized modification and/or non-intended use of this or any other flash cart product sold by Stone Age Gamer shall void both manufacturer and retailer warranties of that product.

E) CLONE / MODIFIED CONSOLES – Flash carts / ODEs were developed and intended to be used on un-modified original hardware using original hardware accessories. Stone Age Gamer does not guarantee flash cart / ODE operation on clone consoles or modified consoles. Flash carts / ODEs may operate on some clone consoles or modified consoles. However, due to power consumption changes, random hardware changes and/or firmware updates of those consoles we cannot offer a guarantee of flash cart compatibility. Any returns due to incompatibility with clone consoles or modified consoles will result in no refund of any shipping costs and a 10% restocking fee if no defect is found during testing.

    All-In-One Awesomeness

    A few years ago, after fighting fussy genesis' for too long, I purchased a Mega SG, and loved it. Now with the Mega Everdrive Pro, the dream is realized on the complete genesis experience.

    A lot of us Genesis/Mega Drive kids were either too young or the economics just didnt make sense; we didnt get to enjoy a huge part of what sega was doing then.

    Towards the end of the 90s, I was lucky enough to find a used model 2 Sega/MegaCD, but alas, it has failed.I am not alone in this, I am sure. The debate to fix a 30 year old cd drive or invest in the Mega Everdrive Pro? One you will have to decide yourself.

    As far as the ease of use, Totally easy. Follow the instructions, find a good youtuber if you are a visual learner. This is my first Everdrive, I looked into the Terraonion as well, but it had been out of stock. I am glad both options are awesome. This wont be the last everdrive I buy, i can say that!

    Also, Spend the money, get the case; this is a premium item, keep it snazzy when not in use.

    Great device... Easy setup... plays NES games, 32x games (need 32x system), Sega CD games (does not need this one). Resets to main menu. Overall amazing little cart :)

    Finally bought the Everdrive for Genesis/Megadrive

    Always wanted to purchase one, finally did and extremely happy with the Mega Everdrive Pro. Easy to use and load files. And was amazed that it could play Sega/Mega CD games without have one attached to my Genesis.
    So impressed I went ahead a bought 3 additional Everdrives for other systems.
    Quality is outstanding cartridge, the case and instruction manual.

    Cant recommend this highly enough.
    put a decent sized SD card in there and have everything available to me now (well, not 32x, but thats trash anyway).
    You wont regret this purchase

    An excellent product!
    I am very pleased with my Mega EverDrive for the Sega Genesis. Now I can play my backups and homebrew easily without using my original carts and CDs. Easy to setup and start using. Highly recommended.

    It's really good but...

    Plug and play/ add drop roms for Genesis and Mega Drive is really simple like all other everdrives. Sega CD games take a little bit of work to get going. You need to add the bios files for Sega CD yourself to get them working. CD ISOs need to be ripped the correct way to get them to work. I needed to re-rip a bunch of my ISOs as a different format to get them to work. If you don't do it yourself they will most likely not work.

    Stone Age Gamer always covers all bases by making sure the card you order with this formatted correctly. Great service. Be aware sms and cd/32x support is there but only on the consoles that support it. (Genesis 1, 2[with mods] and 3 rev 1[with mods]. 3rev 2 can’t get this functionality.

    Excellent improvement over the X7

    I upgraded from the Mega EverDrive X7 for the improved save state support and was very happy. Save states are easy to use and fast. The X7 only supported a single save state and required the use of the in game menu to create and load them. The Pro allows you to configure your own shortcut for quick saving and quick loading which works very well. I haven't experimented with all of the features yet but the quality of construction is very good and I haven't run into any problems yet.

    Good but I've had some issues with Sega CD games

    Genesis games work great. I've had issues with certain CD games crashing to the bios screen though. I've tried different rips with no luck and I'm not really sure what the problem might be :(
