Virtual Ribbon and Install

The guys at Stone Age gamer are amazing. They were super responsive with any questions I had regarding shipping if my eye pieces for modding and then we’re also super helpful with troubleshooting information when I received the product. The virtual ribbon mod is amazing and works like a charm. I am so happy they were able to help me restore my original consolé from 1995 to continué using for the years to come. Thanks again to the whole team!

Bringing it back to life

I looked at options to bringing my original virtual boy back ti life correctly. I love retro consoles and love being able to save them. I’m glad I came across these guys. I wanted a more reliable fix. They were fantastic for customer service and turn around. My virtual boy works like it did the Christmas I got it. Thanks guys!

My VB hasn`t worked in over 10 years, sound but no picture. This was a long shot but man did it pay off. Insanely fast turnaround (1 day) and my VB works like brand new! Thanks!

Got it back quick and the fix worked great

Sent my VB out on a Wednesday and got it back the very next Wednesday. They packed it better for its return trip than I did sending it out.

Before the repair the right screen had no picture and the left screen would go scrambled after a short time. Now I have seen no issues with either screen since getting it back.

If you have a VB with screen issues, you should get this done.

Permanent solution to buggy graphics on your virtual boy

SegaSonicFan made a permanent solution to those pesky lines messing up your virtual boy experience. Do not use the online temporary solutions that could damage your virtual boy as there were only 700K of these consoles made. Protect your investment by having Stone Age Gamer install this ribbon replacement for you. Shipped the console to them and within a few days I had my console back working perfectly. I will never have to worry about my ribbons coming partially undone again. Thanks!

Outstanding Repair, Top-Notch Service

The left eyepiece on my Virtual Boy went out suddenly, and I was desperate for a fix. There are tons of videos online of people fixing this by putting the unit in the oven, or opening it up and taping the original ribbon cable in place, but that felt like an ineffective repair. The Virtual Ribbon cable actually improves on the original design in several key ways, and if you want to be a proper caretaker for your Virtual Boy, Stone Age Gamer's solution is the one you want. The professional install is the real selling point, since it saves you from having to solder your console.

Customer service was also great, with prompt replies to my questions. They gave me tips for how best to ship the unit to them, and upon receipt turned it back around astonishingly fast. I had my Virtual Boy back in about a week, and it works like new.
