Whereas the Deluxe Edition includes the cartridge with gold back label, a case, printed manual, an FXPAK Pro sticker, Stone Age Gamer sticker, and is covered by a 2-year Warranty.

Features

  • microSD supported (tested up to 64GB; no exFAT support so SDXC cards must be reformatted using FAT32).
  • Fast ROM loading (~9MB/s).
  • Fast menu navigation.
  • Directories are sorted automatically, no need for FAT sorting tools.
  • High resolution menu (512×224) for adequate display of long file names.
  • Real Time Clock.
  • Supports ROM size up to 128MBit (96Mbit actually implemented).

    • near-time saving is switched to periodic saving when a game is found to use the SRAM as work RAM.
    • Automatic saving is disabled when MSU1 is used. SRAM is saved on reset.
    • Enhancement chip support (see below for implementation status).
  • SuperCIC key (SNES CIC clone):
    • enables operation on unmodified consoles of all regions.
    • supports software 50/60Hz switching on SuperCIC enhanced consoles only (to be performed by FXPAK firmware, not yet implemented there).
    • Auto region patching: eliminates “This Game Pak is not designed…” messages regardless of 50/60Hz setting.

    FXPAK-PRO

Posted by simon woods on Aug 28th 2021

Fantastic product. Highly recommended. Games load instantly, I couldn't ask for more. I bought it because the cheap flash carts concern me with their inappropriate voltage. Plus, I can now play the SA-1 hacks on original hardware. I've been using it with a 1-chip Super Famicom and an OSSC. Super Metroid looks phenomenal.

This is THE flash cartridge for any Super NES / Super Famicom fan, or anyone who wants to play its games on real hardware.

    Posted by D E on Jun 19th 2021

You may think that at first this is REALLY expensive, and it certainly is - but with how its enhancement chip compatibility covers most of the desired SNES games - especially Star Fox 2 which you can actually play on this cartridge (that uses GSU, aka Super FX), and even Super Mario RPG (that uses SA-1) compared to the other options that aren't present in the other Super Everdrives - it's well worth the buy. And yes, Super Game Boy can be played on it, too (you have to look for the files to implement it, however). Plus, you even can play fan translations or even ROM Hacks on it. And that's not even the full list of things you can do in this. There are quite a few more features that I didn't mention here.

Compared to the basic colored ones, I got this one instead of the basic versions just because clear shells for a flash cart like this just looks cool for me. And hey, since it will burn a hole in your wallet one way or another, why not give it a bit of style, anyway? This is the 3rd Everdrive I own next to the GBA X5 and GB X7. Everdrives are a spectacular product overall, and this is no exception.

At the time of me writing this review - get ready to wait a while. It look me more than a month in total for this to arrive in my mail. Most of the waiting time comes from getting the FXPAK Pro from overseas to the US but the wait time might just be worth it for you. When it does arrive in the US it took like 4 days to arrive from Ohio (STG's place) to my mail (I'm in the US). Props to the customer service for my curiosity on updates for their stock of this.

I love it, and I can't wait for more hours being put into playing with this.

    Exactly what you need

Posted by Rafael V on May 2nd 2021

Note: I have the previous version with the American SNES cart design, which I believe makes no difference for this review.

First impressions first, I bought with the clamshell protective case and it's beautiful, goes well with the other games in the collection. The cart itself is very pretty, sturdy and well made, and I bought it clear white to go with my black Super NT.

But honestly, all this is irrelevant if the cart doesn't do what you want, right? Well, it does exactly what I wanted: finally being able to play those fan-translated JRPGs of old with top quality hardware. Already gone through Live a Live, Treasure of the Rudras and now playing Goemon 3 and next is Bahamut Lagoon. Also you can do crazy stuff like playing Mega Man X or Ninja Warriors with CD quality music using MSU-1, or hacks that can be new games like Return to Dinosaur Land and Mega Man X3 Zero Project. Definitely worth a buy.

Amazing Product | Worth the Price of Admission!

Posted by Domenic Dorval on Apr 28th 2021

Recently purchased the FXPAK PRO, and it's worth every penny. Setting the product up and updating the product was incredibly easy, the included manual had all the information I needed. I purchased the Deluxe upgrade and the bit box package it came in was immaculate, came in a well packaged box and shipping was quick (5 days at the lowest tier) and came exactly as you see on the website. The Customer service was prompt, easy to communicate with, flexible with my needs. If you want an NTSC shell, you can email and they will accomodate you how they can. All games I played ran perfectly. From the screws on the cart to the included stickers and the label, this product is worthy of the price, every SNES lover should own one.

This company cares about it's customers and that's an understatement.

    Just get it

Posted by Josh on Apr 13th 2021

This thing is fantastic for playing those fan-translated games that were only released in Japan. I played through Tales of Phantasia with it, which the US didn't get. I'm looking forward to many more.

    The Best You Can Get

Posted by Trevor on Apr 12th 2021

My first Everdrive was N64 x7, I was so impressed that I decided to get the FXpak Pro. This thing is beautiful, the quality of the plastic, screws, and PCB all are top notch. Loading backups is as easy as ever, you can even load up Rom hacks to play on your original hardware! Plus, the shell of this cartridge fits in any regional SNES variant.
