    Plug n' Play GameBoy Glory

There are a plethora of options this device offers which can be accessed using the included remote but I haven't yet felt compelled to mess with any of them. But more options are always better than too few. My main purpose for purchasing the CARBY was to use the GBI homebrew to play pixel perfect GameBoy games and it delivered, especially when coupled with an HDMI to Component convertor and a RetroTink 5X Pro and ESPECIALLY with the 5X Pro's LCD filter. Truly a thing of beauty. Great price, great device, makes your GameBoy games extra spice...-y.

Great quality for a great price

    Posted by Retro_Emulation_Nation on Jun 10th 2021

One of the main reasons why I avoided getting a GameCube for the longest time was the obscene prices of the official Nintendo component cables.

When the first EON GCHD devices were first released, I thought they were still too expensive.

Enter Insurrection Industries' Carby, which is a great affordable solution and the video and audio output is absolutely amazing. One would think it's an internal HDMI mod. And since many GameCube games carry Dolby Pro Logic II audio, they were interpreted perfectly by my Yamaha Aventage home theater.

Plus the fact that they come with GCVideo 3.0d firmware preinstalled makes upgrading to later firmwares (version 3.0e) very, very easy.

I cannot recommend this highly enough! And for those concerned about potential stress to the GameCube's Digital Port, do check out Retro Frog's 3D printed support brace.

Excellent product just like their cables. Plug and play solution thats works well and makes a dramatic difference. The cost is steep but well worth the investment. Would recommend and purchase again if needed.
