    GCHD MK-II

Posted by Zach on Jul 4th 2024

Hands down the best HDMI adaptor for the GameCube. Easy to install and has a very tight fit once inserted. The jump in picture quality from Composite cables to this is absolutely amazing. I was hesitant at first based off of watching comparisons on YouTube, but in-person, the difference is night and day.

For the best picture you can get.

I`ve owned this device many times now. The picture is perfect right out of the box. Never tried the remote to change settings thingy. No need. I`ve tried Carby and Prism and Eon. I think they all are great devices. I personally like the Eon the best. It fits nice and tight. Once plugged in, no need to worry. Combine this with the mclassic and you got a picture to die for. It`s that good.

EON GCHD MK-II Adapter for GameCube

Posted by Steven P. on Jun 6th 2024

I purchased the GCHD MK-II adapter so I could play my GameCube using my Wii component cables and I wanted to have the option for HDMI if needed.

Installation was easy and I like how this item is packaged. I’m keeping the box because it looks cool. I programmed my spare Roku remote to the IR sensor and it was easy navigating the OSD menu.

I like the scanline features, but I don’t think I’ll be using it. If I want scanlines I’ll plug my GameCube into my CRT monitor.

Overall, I like the product and most people are constantly sold out, so I was happy to see this item for sale here.

    Easy to use, no hassle!

The EON GCHD-Mkii is a wonderful product that literally just plugs into the back of the Gamecube and your done! It`s really small too so it doesn`t take up any major space. The picture quality is incredible, it may be very pixalated at first but eventually with some minor tweaks in the adapters menu, you can have a crisp image. The Price is pretty high but you get what you pay for.

Awesome non solder option. Def pairs nice with a retrotink if you have one.

    Fantastic plug and play option

Posted by Schuyler Grant on Jul 15th 2023

Picture looks fantastic on my at screen. Initially I had trouble getting it to work with component cables but after reaching out to Eon they sent me a replacement free of charge and further helped me diagnose that the problem was actually bad cables. Best customer service experience I`ve had by a WIDE margin. Highly recommend both the product and the good folks who make it.

    Great product with small caveats.

Solidly built HDMI converter for the GameCube. Quality is as sharp and clean as you`d expect for GCDigital. It was the first to market, so it obviously has a few flaws. The first is it`s a little heavy, so it yanks on the ports. The other is more of a nitpick, but some people might be annoyed by the HDMI port being on the side. I personally don`t mind since I usually just use the component output with my scaler anyway.

    Almost Perfect

Posted by Kevin on Nov 29th 2022

After trying a number of solutions for upscaling my GameCube to operate effectively on my 120`` HD projector, this is what I settled on. For the most part, it works perfectly. The image is crisp and clear, with no discernible lag. The ability to control the device settings with IR is particularly handy, and the instructions provided to set up a WiiU gamepad to transmit an IR signal to the device were simple and straightforward.

    Now for the gripes:
    1. While the wide range of customization options for video and audio outputs are great to have, the menus themselves are a bit buggy. In particular, the scanline settings menu labels were confusing, and some of the settings would reset randomly if they were scrolled too quickly.
    2. The device seems to black out for a few seconds any time a game`s aspect ratio changes from widescreen to fullscreen. This is okay on some games, as this only happens on title screens, but it renders some games with frequent cut scenes, such as Rebel Strike, almost completely unplayable.

Overall, I`ll be keeping it, but with a few tweaks it feels like it could have been perfect.
