RetroTink COMP2RGB - Component to RGB Adapter

Analog transcoder to convert component YPbPr to RGBs

  • Injection molded enclosure
  • Multi-format support: 240p/288p/480i/576i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p
  • Automatic switching between Rec. 601 and Rec. 709 conversion matricies depending on input resolution
  • Due to the many different types of plugs, we don't include an AC adaptor. Use a clean, good quality USB power adaptor or the USB port on your TV or monitor, if possible.

How to Use

The COMP2RGB is designed to be a high quality transcoder that is extremely simple to use.

Connect the RCA component input and the SCART RGB output to the device. Power up your source (optional micro usb power cord included by default) and set your display to accept the SCART connection.

You're done!

Please Note: Micro USB cord is sold optionally

Bought this to use the Retrotink 5x`s SCART port as a second component input; it worked perfectly for this purpose.

Works perfectly connecting multiple consoles with component from an automatic switch going into the COMP2RGB to use on my Sony 1341 PVM. Highly recommended!

    RetroTINK Comp2RGB

Posted by Patrick S on May 5th 2023

This product does exactly as advertised has not given me any issues so far. I have tested this on multiple consoles and I have not seen any degradation in image quality/ brightness, nor have I experienced any additional noticeable lag. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a TV that has RGB inputs, but none for component. It`s easier to purchase this if you already own multiple consoles with component cables, and if you do not want to bother with RGB modding consoles or buying new cable types/ switchers.
