    NES Clear shell

I was skeptical at first definitely on how this would look, especially since nothing was wrong with my original shell. It didn’t even have any coloring issues. but after getting everything put together, I have to say this is one of the more beautiful shell replacements I’ve ever seen. I’ve had issues in the past with some shell replacements, having some rough edges and unfinished molding on them. I can say with this piece though that there was absolutely no issue getting it assembled and no worrying about screws stripping. I will definitely be hanging around the site to see what else comes out. I am a fan of the quality that has been delivered.

    NES Clear Shell

It`s pretty dead on as far as everything lining up. Visually it looks great when all is said and done. You will need to tweak the metal tabs that keep the lid open. The material is slightly heavier than your OEM door, so it does not hold open as well. I would also highly suggest using a 7/64 drill bit to re-drill all the main screw holes to widen them just a hair. If you do not do this there is a good chance you will strip the screw heads or damage the case. There are just a little to tight. You will also need to purchase some rubber bumpers for the bottom piece, so it doesn`t slide around on you.

    Another Semi nightmare...

First off the acrylic is much better quality than the Sega shells. This is more on par with the SNES shells. Finger print magnets. Also the screw holes are not threaded and if you`re not careful you will end up striping screws. Thread first then screw... The lid is very loose because of how it`s designed. Not like the original shell lid. Transferring the internal components is easy but those screw holes are tight.... Once it`s done it`s very impressive. Add an everdrive + blinking light win + Hi Def or RGBmod NES then you really have an awesome console. Now you`re playing with clear case power!
