    Fantastic plug and play option

Posted by Schuyler Grant on Jul 15th 2023

Picture looks fantastic on my at screen. Initially I had trouble getting it to work with component cables but after reaching out to Eon they sent me a replacement free of charge and further helped me diagnose that the problem was actually bad cables. Best customer service experience I`ve had by a WIDE margin. Highly recommend both the product and the good folks who make it.

    Great product with small caveats.

Posted by Lola on Dec 30th 2022

Solidly built HDMI converter for the GameCube. Quality is as sharp and clean as you`d expect for GCDigital. It was the first to market, so it obviously has a few flaws. The first is it`s a little heavy, so it yanks on the ports. The other is more of a nitpick, but some people might be annoyed by the HDMI port being on the side. I personally don`t mind since I usually just use the component output with my scaler anyway.

    Almost Perfect

Posted by Kevin on Nov 29th 2022

After trying a number of solutions for upscaling my GameCube to operate effectively on my 120`` HD projector, this is what I settled on. For the most part, it works perfectly. The image is crisp and clear, with no discernible lag. The ability to control the device settings with IR is particularly handy, and the instructions provided to set up a WiiU gamepad to transmit an IR signal to the device were simple and straightforward.

    Now for the gripes:
    1. While the wide range of customization options for video and audio outputs are great to have, the menus themselves are a bit buggy. In particular, the scanline settings menu labels were confusing, and some of the settings would reset randomly if they were scrolled too quickly.
    2. The device seems to black out for a few seconds any time a game`s aspect ratio changes from widescreen to fullscreen. This is okay on some games, as this only happens on title screens, but it renders some games with frequent cut scenes, such as Rebel Strike, almost completely unplayable.

Overall, I`ll be keeping it, but with a few tweaks it feels like it could have been perfect.

GCHD MK. II PLUG 'N PLAY GAMECUBE 480P HD COMPATIBLE ADAPTER

Posted by Ryan D. on Aug 3rd 2022

I really like what this adapter has to offer. The picture and visuals look great on my big screen hd tv. I also added the Marseille Classic as well which definitely helped smooth the rough edges of the visuals. I know the price isn't the cheapest for this product, but the quality and craftsmanship of the product are noticed very quickly when playing the first game. I would recommend this product for anyone who wants to play their gamecube through HDMI while not sacrificing visuals. I also would like to give a shout out to Stone Age Gamer as the customer service and quick delivery was great and much appreciated.

    Feature Added GCVideo HDMI Adapter

Posted by gourdcaptain on Feb 21st 2022

There's more basic GC video dongles out there, but this one has some added functionality (analog dual out, optical audio out) that came in a lot handier than I thought it would when I first got it. Customer support is _excellent_, with them helping me out with an issue 2+ years after I got it that required sending it back to them for service.

    GCHD MK II HDMI Adapter

Posted by Alex Corpuz on Dec 29th 2021

This adapter does exactly as advertised. It uses both video ports on the DOL-001 Gamecube model and allows 480p output via HDMI or Wii Component cables. The build quality is high and feels sturdy enough to remain securely plugged in with cables attached. I bought a black one and its color and LED match my black Gamecube's color and power-on light perfectly. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because the initial installation of the adapter takes quite a bit of force to fit into the Gamecube. However, once installed it feels very secure and works great. To see the best benefits of this product, make sure to hold down the B button when booting up Gamecube games that support 480p to enable progressive scan. Highly recommend this for those with a DOL-001 model Gamecube,

    The only option?

It would seem that this is the only viable way currently to get good quality out of your Gamecube. Thankfully, it does seem to work!

    Great Picture

Posted by Scott R. on Sep 14th 2021

It's a bit of a tight fit, but it results in a great picture on modern displays. No issues at all.
