    FXPak Pro

Posted by Phillip Rodriguez on Mar 14th 2023

The FXPak Pro is everything you need for countless hours of Super Nintendo/Famicom bliss. Instant access to all regions of games and even getting to play fan translations for games you may have missed out on is certainly a huge draw. After setting up my sd card with the proper files and firmware, I had zero issues once it was in my system and power turned on. It runs great and I think should be highly considered for those who enjoy playing on original hardware. The case that comes with it is sturdy and professional looking. The quality of cartridge is top notch. With so many styles of cartridges to choose from, Stone Age Gamer is a great place to get one.

    Definately worth the wait.

The moment I got notified that the FXpak pro was available again. I immediately broke out my wallet. I have wanted to get one of these types of cartridges for years but never had the chance to do so before now. And I am glad that I immediately grabbed it when i could. I don`t regret this purchase at all and works with everything I wanted it for. Mostly Romhacks and homebrew stuff of games I already have. Thank you so much Krikzz and Ikari0 for this beauty.

I absolutely love the FXPAK. I use it mainly for running Super Metroid randomizers and it is perfect for running them on the actual hardware. I also use it for other games and it runs everything I have thrown at it. Great looking product, shipped fast, and absolutely worth having. Much cheaper than trying to buy actual SNES carts. Incredible value, incredible product.

The Best SNES Addon To Buy

Posted by Marcus on Jul 5th 2022

I finally got my hands on this amazing piece of hardware. The compatibility list alone is worth the price of admission! It was also a snap to set up, install the matching background, and place my rom backups onto an SD card. It just works! There are a few options to set to like in-game hooking to allow exiting back to the FxPak Pro menu from a controller code, date/time, and even making some Fx chip games run slightly higher framerates! It was a pretty penny to buy, however seeing as some single game carts can be much more this was a great way to preserve my collection and reduce wear and tear on my consoles. Side note, the Deluxe content is also worth it, trust me, StoneAge knocked it out of the park again! Also shout out to Krikzz, wouldn't have this amazing product with him and his team.

Works flawlessly with every game I've thrown at it with my Analogue Super Nt.

If you play SNES games, you NEED this.

This thing is awesome. Super simple setup, just add what you want to the SD card. Runs everything on my SNES flawlessly. Highly recommended!

This is by far the best solution for playing ROM-hacks on the original Hardware. The firmware development ist still active and more functions are getting added. Definitely worth the price.

Great little cart, if power hungry for original SNES

Posted by Will on Oct 7th 2021

This cart is so much fun to use. It can handle almost any ROM you throw at it, even intensive, advanced-chip games such as Starfox and Yoshi’s Island. While I’ve already played most of these games, I’ve really enjoyed being able to run hacks and homebrews on my SNES without any issues; games like the Super Metroid/Link to the Past randomizer are much more fun to run through on original hardware.

I have two small gripes with it. First is the cartridge shell design, which makes for a much tighter fit in my early SNES than any other cart. There’s very little give; my console’s power-slider lock seems to move forward *just* far enough to turn the console on. Speaking of power, my other issue with the cart is how much power it draws. If your power supply is unreliable (whether due to the cheapness typical of many third-party supplies or, as in my case, a failing original SNES power adapter), the image your FXPak provides may be unstable and appear glitchy. Replacing my power supply with a modern, well-regulated one fixed all issues I had, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re already noticing issues with other, less power-hungry SNES carts.

Overall, though, I’m very happy with this device. It’s quick to load, has the most extensive capabilities of any cart of its type, and looks to continue to receive great updates adding even more features. While certain older SNES models might have issues with this cart, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone else.
