Works seamlessly! A must own with how expensive retro gaming is becoming! If collecting isn’t a big deal to you then this is a no brainer!

    A dream come true

Posted by David on Sep 15th 2021

Plays every game I've tried perfectly. The translucent turquoise colour perfectly matches my Clear Blue JPN N64, and it fit in the cartridge slot with no modification needed. Love it, couldn't be happier.

    Excellent product

Posted by Kris Whelan on Aug 18th 2021

The Everdrive 64 is, plainly put, all around perfection. The compatibility is great, the features are great, and the build quality is sturdy and reliable.

The only complaints I could possibly make are: 1) the lack of savestate functionality and 2) the firmware could potentially use a slightly cleaner interface.

But at the end of the day, those complaints are mere nitpicks. If you make this purchase, not only will you save yourself tons of money on the used market, but you will also avoid being ripped off by reproductions!

This item comes with my highest recommendation and I can say wholeheartedly that no gamer will regret adding the Everdrive 64 to their collection.

Excellent way to play N64 Library

Posted by Dylan J on Aug 15th 2021

I’ve been studiously dumping my n64 carts for a while. This is the perfect way to play them all while keeping the original carts safe. It also makes it easy to manage saves and play rom hacks. It is essential for n64 fans!

    A whole new world!

Posted by Schedel on Aug 1st 2021

This item is amazing. I can finally play all the games I wanted to try, without paying 40 to 50 bucks per game for the good ones. Works smoothly with my sd card, and best of all it matches my translucent blue n64!

    everdrive x7

Posted by Braden S on Jul 31st 2021

It works exactly as advertised, no issues and the team will work with you on custom orders (although it may cost more) the only thing i wish they would figure out how to do is to let you plug the cartridge into the pc and move files without a sd card reader. great job otherwise.

    Perfect Flash Cart!

Posted by Jager Felice on Jul 22nd 2021

    Flash Cart - 5/5
This thing just works. I preloaded my SD card with the latest firmware and when I received the flash cart it worked without any issues. The FPGA board provides rock solid emulation where other carts fall short. All games I've tested have worked perfect.

    Order - 4/5
The only reason I'm dinging this review is due to my order experience. I ordered this cart with the world-64 artwork and received the basic artwork. Shipping was quick, packaging was protective.

Customer Service - 5/5 (Thanks Andy!)
I contacted customer support over the weekend about the wrong label being on my product and received a reply first thing next business day. I was offered replacement labels or to send the cart back to put the new label on. I appreciate multiple options! Replacement labels were shipped to me promptly and I couldn't be happier with the support.

I ordered new Everdrive 64 X7 on Friday July 16th 2021, and it was here on Tuesday July 20th, which is light speed by my calculations. It works perfectly and I am enjoying it greatly. Thanks for supplying a huge dose of nostalgia Stone Age Gamer.

    Pricey, but worthwhile

Posted by Katherine on Jul 20th 2021

I bought this Everdrive primarily because of two reasons:

One, the game carts and consoles are getting older and the pins are wearing out, so having a cartridge with all my games that I can just leave inserted reduces the wear and tear on my games and the cartridge slot. This gives me peace of mind that things will continue to work longer, and means I can travel with my N64 collection with minimal issues. The X7 adds the ability to save without using the reset button, which is nice for me because I don't like having to remember to do a thing to commit my save to memory, but it may be incidental to you.

Two, romhacks/fan translations/homebrew. This is why I ultimately went for the X7 over the X5, because I am a fan of seeing what kinds of romhacks, fan translations, and homebrew that the community has produced. The RTC is really only used for a few games, which you can just skip out on, but I look at it like this: If you drop the money on the X7, then you will never feel any need to upgrade. The USB port is also a nice addition as someone who wants to start making N64 homebrew.

In conclusion, the X5 vs the X7 is a bit like buying a Honda vs a Subaru. Both are really reliable cars, but sometimes you may wish you had the AWD that Subaru offers. But if you really have no desire for added niceties, then the X5 is a reliable driver that will give you lots of joy.
