    Great product for the price

It's a neat accessory for the price. It does its job pretty well and the Master System functionality got me hooked. Sure the Deluxe version has more features but if your budget is a little bit tight this will do nicely.

    Wish I got Deluxe

Posted by John Gibson on Dec 16th 2020

I wasn't aware there were two versions and the selector is hidden in a graphic that I didn't know was clickable so I skipped over it. I'm having trouble with this device. Games aren't saving. I don't know what is in deluxe or not but this one doesn't have save states. The UI is very slow and clunky. Loading a folder of roms takes 15+ seconds. You can't reset the console, meaning it's VERY hard to enter cheat codes that have to be entered when the game starts. Game saves aren't working and I don't know why. You can't access the Everdrive menu from inside a game. It's the most featureless game cart I've ever used. I don't know if that's a limitation of the Game Gear hardware or what, but it didn't live up to my expectations. Maybe Deluxe would fix some of these issues for me.
