    Excellent build quality ruined by beyond poor analogue sticks

    This wireless controller might have some of the best general build quality of any third party controller I`ve ever tried, but unfortunately the sticks are such an issue I must wholeheartedly recommend against it.

    Compared to an original Dualshock 2 the sticks are extremely overly sensitive, and also do not have a full range of motion. It can be a bit difficult to explain but it`s as if the stick only actually works in eight directions. It`s very noticable in a game like Gitaroo Man as when you spin the stick the on screen indicator clearly jumps between up/ down/ left/ right, and the diagonals rather than a smooth movement as expected. In some games this might not be much of a roadblock, but in others the complete lack of precision is an absolute game killer.

    I reached out to the manufacturer, Retro Fighters, regarding this problem to see if there was an issue with my particular controller or for some general troubleshooting just in case I was somehow doing it wrong, but was almost immediately hit with a `return it if you`re not happy` type response rather than any actual assistance. This leads me to believe that they are aware of the issues present in this controller and potentially others they make and just choose to do nothing about them. Thankfully Stone Age Gamer allowed me to return this controller since it just wasn`t going to work for me.

    Works Great on PS2

    The OG PS2 wire controllers are known to have buttons fail since they are so old. Wish I would`ve known about these controllers long time ago instead of buying Official PS2 wired controllers off marketplace. So far so good. Nothing bad about these controllers at all. They just work and are comfortable.

    Retro Fighters Defender Wireless Gamepad (green)

    I`m really liking this controller. It does everything described. I use it for playing GTA San Andreas, and works Perfectly. I really like the Green color one (goes with the colors of the game i play). If there is a delay i do not notice it. I would recommend this Controller for sure. Thank you.

    It worked like a charm on PS1, PS2, PS3 and even Xbox Series using Brook usb adaptor. Great controller with a lot of functions we love, like turbo buttons.

    I got this to use on my PS2 but at the same time my dualshock 3 controller was starting to bite the dust. Rather than replacing the dualshock 3 I can use this controller for both my Ps2 and PS3. It`s very convenient.
