This is the Ronin HD Adapter from BeharBros. It’s a simple plug and play solution for connecting your Sega Dreamcast console to modern high definition televisions. Here’s a closer look.
The Ronin HD Adapter features a standard HDMI out port for simple connection to your television. It’s compatible with the full Dreamcast library, capable of upscaling either the console’s RGB or VGA signal to 1080p. It also comes equipped with a hardware-based scanline generator, which can be toggled on and off with the flick of a switch. Here’s how it works.
Plug the Ronin into the back of your Dreamcast console, and connect an HDMI cable from the unit to your TV.
Turn your console on, and you’re ready to play.
To activate the scanline filter, simply adjust the switch on the Ronin, even during gameplay.
