Transcript of the video:
This is the Harmony Cart from Erstwhile Technologies. It’s a Flash Cart for the Atari 2600 that allows you to play your entire personally backed-up library on original hardware from a single micro SD card. Here’s a closer look.
These are the carts themselves. The Harmony Cart is available in Base and Encore editions. They both provide the same basic functionality, but the Encore features a larger memory capacity and max game size, which can be used for some more modern Homebrew releases. It’s available in numerous color and label variations designed to match different Atari 2600 consoles, and can be upgraded to a Deluxe edition which comes with a BitBox storage case, additional year warranty, user manual, and stickers. The cartridge is the same size and dimensions as a standard Atari 2600 cart, and fits into your console’s cartridge slot like so.
Here’s how it works.
Place your game files into your micro SD card via whichever organizational method you choose. Then take your Micro SD card and insert it into your Harmony cart, plug that into your Atari 2600 console, and you’re ready to begin.
Simply select the game you want and and start it to begin playing exactly as it would if the original cartridge were in your console. Note that the Harmony cart does work with the Atari 7800 console as well, but it will only play 2600 games. The Harmony cart does not, however, work with the Atari 2600+ 7800+, or Retron 77 consoles.
Information on additional options, setup, and more, can be found in the Harmony Cart instruction manual.
