ODE SD Card Extension Bracket for 3DO FZ-1 - Humble Bazooka

This FDM printed bracket helps mount a full size SD Card extension cable to the "AV expansion" bay of your FZ-1 3DO. This is an alternative to cutting a hole in your 3DO's CD-ROM drive door to expose the ODE's USB port.

Features:

  • Custom designed to "lock" the SD Card extension board in place securely,
  • Keeps your 3DO clean of any visible alterations and still allows access to your SD Card without having to take the console apart once installed,
  • You will also need a Micro SD to USB adapter if you're using Mnemo's ODE,
  • Some alteration is needed to the RF shield or you can discard the shield

    Excellent 3D printed bracket for a fair price.

    The 3DO is getting up there in age. Already pushing the big ``30``, it has the legal ability to both drink and drive (but never do both, the 3DO is a responsible adult!). Anyway, with age comes rust and the 3DO is no exception. Because of this its quite common for many disc tray devices to break down or simply stop reading now a days, and for that we have solutions like ODE`s (Optical disc drives) to take their place! (Also sold at Stone Age Gamer!)

    This device, ``The ODE SD Card Extension Bracket`` by Humble Bazooka is a FDM 3D printed device that works along side the ODE (not included) to help give users much easier access to their SD card via the ``AV Expansion`` port on the side of the 3DO.

    (Please note, this is specifically designed for both the FZ-1 model of the 3DO and Fixel`s (or similar) ODE. Not all ODE`s however will be mountable inside the unit with this product, as some require specific set ups that wont allow for the Extension bracket to fit.)

    There is an instruction video located just above this review to help show what this product is and how exactly to install it. Essentially however, one side plugs into the ODE`s USB port and the other side takes your Micro SD card. All of it is made with very durable material and fits together immaculately. I have had zero issues with the product since its purchase and its acted completely as intended, so buy with confidence.

    Lastly, even though stated otherwise, this product now comes with everything you need to get going (excluding the SD card itself). So what does that entail?

    Great bracket but link to sd to microsd is wrong
