ODE Micro SD Card Extension Bracket for 3DO FZ-1 - Humble Bazooka

This FDM printed bracket helps mount a Micro SD Card extension cable to the "AV expansion" bay of your FZ-1 3DO. This is an alternative to cutting a hole in your 3DO's CD-ROM drive door to expose the ODE's USB port.

  • Custom designed to "lock" the SD Card extension board in place securely,
    Keeps your 3DO clean of any visible alterations and still allows access to your SD Card without having to take the console apart once installed,
    You will also need a Micro SD to USB adapter if you're using Mnemo's ODE,
    Some alteration is needed to the RF shield or you can discard the shield

    Bought this for my 3DO Fixel ODE. It came with the SD to microSD cable. The installation was just a bit tricky as i had to remove the entire mobo shield and snip off a good chunk of it so that it fit above the expansion port. It wouldve been nice to have some more direct instructions, but it worked out well.

    The piece fits in via tension and 2 screws for the port itself. Looks and feels great. The only thing i would change is that the female end of the cable doesnt fit tight into the SD slot (issue with the cable/slot combo, really, not the 3d print), so i would consider getting the fit just right and perhaps gently taping the ribbon down at that point to reduce the likelihood of it slipping out. Should be fine unless you`re really shaking the heck out of the console.

    Overall a fantastic product, as long as you`re aware of the small caveats.

    went to install, no extension ribbon, nice idea. but as consumer who just wants a easy packaged item the ribbon would be great. offering these add on at the check out with first further reviewing these separately it seems that including the ribbon with iut would make better sense.
