4-40 screws require the screw holes to be drilled out in this product. If you order this product without the screws holes being drilled out this product includes two nickel philips screws. If you request the screw holes to be drilled it means you will be using our 4-40 screws.

This shell is NOT compatible with the following Super EverDrive / SD2SNES flash carts:

  • Super EverDrive X5
  • SD2SNES Rev. J (microSD + micro USB)
  • SD2SNES Rev. K (microSD + micro USB)
  • SD2SNES Pro Rev. B that have an assembly date before 2019-02-13

This is a Jungle (transparent green) North American style SNES shell that is cut using a CNC machine into the selected flash cart configuration (select above). 4-40 screws require the screw holes to be drilled out in this product.     Be wary of the transparent shells!

    My review is actually for the Glacial Blue SD2SNES shell, but since they don`t carry that color anymore, I can`t leave a review for it. The transparent plastic shells are VERY fragile, especially, the screw posts. I unscrewed my shell ONCE to replace the SD2SNES battery and was, extremely, careful. I was also very careful screwing it back together. I always back the screws out until I feel the click to make sure I`m not cross threading the screws.

    Well, despite this, one of my screw posts cracked, so now the cartridge will not stay securely together at the bottom. I thought about contacting StoneAge, but since I bought the shell a couple of years ago, I figured they`d tell me I`m out of luck. Pretty disappointing, considering the price of these things. And these shells have a very low cost to produce, so they`re making a killing selling these.

    I have multiple solid SNES shells and none of them have any issues with screw posts and durability. This clear shell isn`t the only clear plastic retro product I`ve had issues with, either. The plastic just isn`t that sturdy. I`d recommend getting a solid color shell if you`re looking for a replacement.

    I had ordered the Cartridge, labels, and the screws. Not only was everything accounted for but everything was assembled too. Build quality is great. Love how the Jungle color looks Thoroughly impressed. Highly Recommend. If I need another cartridge swap in the future I'm coming back here.
