    I'm a huge Dreamcast fan, and I've got a lot of love for the original Dreamcast controller. By today's standards, it could definitely be more ergonomic. That's primarily what this controller addresses for me.
    Best things about this controller: 4 way d-pad works really well, VMU screen visible, all same inputs as an original controller plus extra shoulder buttons, turbo options for the four face buttons.
    Things that could be improved: joystick is clickable like modern controllers but you can't use that click function for anything. Would be nice if it could be mapped to a button. You can't assign turbo to any button on the controller, only the four face buttons. The two triggers are kind of mushy feeling (not as noticeable during gameplay).
    Biggest con for me: Controller cord length seems a bit shorter than advertised, and I could use another foot for good measure.
    Overall take: Very solid controller with no major drawbacks. Succeeds in addressing most/all concerns people have with the original controller. Definitely give this a go if you are even remotely considering it!

    Works just as expected and feels great in my hands. Memory card (VMU) and rumble pack work with controller.

    I have been a fan of the Dreamcast since it came out. I have played consoles from A-B. but recently I have been using current-gen controllers and going back to old ones can be a pain. I find this controller fits well in both the retro and current gaming space. good job to the team that engineered this. keep up the good work!

    This controller works well. The stick works great, the buttons are very responsive and clicky, and the triggers are the perfect level of responsive. And the option to have digital or analog triggers is a nice touch for games with different uses for triggers. After using this controller for 3 weeks, going back to an OEM Dreamcast controller is hard to even conceive of. It's a great controller. It's not perfect for one thing. It's a bit difficult to get VMUs and memory cards in and out. It's a tight squeeze. But it's so nice once it's in there that I don't feel bad about giving this controller a positive review.

    The BEST Controller for the Dreamcast

    This is easily the best controller for the Sega Dreamcast.
    Unlike the original, it feels ergonomic and fits perfectly in the hands of an adult.
    The Analog stick is comfortable and responsive, with just enough padding that it doesn't dig into your thumb like the original OEM controller. The buttons feel perfect with just enough spring with each press.
    I own four so everyone can use one on large multiplayer games.
    Highly recommended!

    Okay once you start playing. The button presses are stiff, the grip feels light and slick, and the analog stick moves almost without effort.

    After using this controller for a couple hours I found it the best dreamcast controller ever made. It is highly recommended and much better than the official one.
