Wanting to better preserve the quality of my retro games and consoles, I recently invested in protective storage bags for the paper-based inserts that accompany my NES games. Since most of these titles date back to the mid-to-late `80s, I figured it was time to protect some of the more fragile components aside from the boxes themselves. This includes original instruction booklets, receipts, and any other inserts I`ve managed to hold on to over the years. My only question is, ``Why didn`t I do this sooner?`` It`s a relief to know there`s now an additional layer of protection inside each game box. I no longer worry about tearing, creasing, or otherwise damaging aged inserts when removing and returning a cartridge to its box. It`s a wonder the instruction booklets still exist. These bags have fantastic presentation and preservation value. It`s never too late to preserve what you have. I bought these for the purpose of keeping manuals safe and in place for Universal game cases. With a bit of double sided tape on one side of the bag, it fits not only perfectly in the game case, but the manual is sung and well protected now!
I was looking for a solution to store my loose NES manuals and I stumbled across these bags. I picked up a few to test out and they worked out better than I expected. The bags are of decent thickness and not cheap feeling. The flap has a strip of glue on it for keeping it closed, but can be opened easily when you need the manual. They fit the manuals perfectly.
