The Retro Receiver is a bluetooth receiver that you plug into your original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). It allows you to play your NES wirelessly with any original NES model, the Analogue Nt and other aftermarket NES systems.

With the Retro Receiver, not only can you play your NES wirelessly with any 8Bitdo controller or arcade stick: but you can even use wireless next gen controllers, too.

    Great Adapter!

    I ordered this and two other 8-BitDo bluetooth adapters for my new recapped systems that had recently undergone RGB mods to make them playable on modern tvs. As much as I love the feel of the original controllers, having the cords, even with extensions is just a mess and a trip hazard. These adapters work great and it's super easy to get the controller hooked up to each system. Latency is really small even when I'm playing on a projector. Would definitely recommend especially if you are sitting far away! In my case, I`m about 20 or so feet away from the projector so this works great!

    One thing that is nice about playing with a bluetooth controller like the 8-BitDo Pro2 is that the Analog stick also works for the 4 directional controls and for some games it can be a bit of a smoother operation.

    I used this with a Nintendo Switch NES controllers, and had no issues with pairing or using the controllers. Works great!

    These work wonders for the NES and AV Famicom or NES Clone , breathes new life in old consoles and makes them more playable and enjoyable .

    I just got my NES toploader RGB modded and have been diving back into my old retro collection, starting with Zelda 1. I got this little adapter to pair with 8BitDo`s modkit for the original NES controller. It pairs great, and I honestly could not tell a difference between playing wired versus wirelessly. It`s so nice not having to sit so close to the TV. I just ordered another one to put in the player 2 slot to do the save trick in Zelda.

    Works great on my AV Famicom. I added the 8bitdo wireless kit to my original controllers and everything works great. The battery charges quickly.
