E) CLONE / MODIFIED CONSOLES – Flash carts / ODEs were developed and intended to be used on un-modified original hardware using original hardware accessories. Stone Age Gamer does not guarantee flash cart / ODE operation on clone consoles or modified consoles. Flash carts / ODEs may operate on some clone consoles or modified consoles. However, due to power consumption changes, random hardware changes and/or firmware updates of those consoles we cannot offer a guarantee of flash cart compatibility. Any returns due to incompatibility with clone consoles or modified consoles will result in no refund of any shipping costs and a 10% restocking fee if no defect is found during testing.

The one thing you need if you have a Neo Geo AES

If you got here you know exactly what you are looking for, a way to play your favorite Neo Geo games without spending an absolute fortune, or even playing the games you own without damaging your existing priceless cartridges. The NeoSD does all that and more, you can flash 4 games in non volatile slots for super fast loading each time, and then you have an extra volatile slot for playing one off games, although this will take some time due to the flashing process.
I don't think there's much more to say about this piece of equipment other than, if you have a Neo Geo AES (or MVS) you absolutely need to have a NeoSD.

I've got nothing but amazing things to say about this item. I have a few AES cartridges but they have become increasingly impossible to purchase with the current pricing. This unit works flawlessly and lets me relive all the joy I had as a teenager in the arcades. This system has always been my favorite and I'd been disappointed with my inability to get some of the games I truly love. This has been amazing not only for me but for my kids to experience the games I had talked about for so long and everyone loves it.

Stone Age Gamer was great the entire process as well. I contacted them with questions and they were extremely fast to respond with detailed answers. Getting that kind of customer support definitely made me feel like a valued customer and gave me assurance that if I did have any issues, they'd be dealt with in a timely manner. Shipping was ridiculously fast. I had the item within a couple days of ordering. I'll definitely be purchasing from them again in the future. Thank you!

If you're interested in Neo Geo, you know nothing is cheap and it can be quite intimidating. The NeoSD Pro AES softens the blow quite a bit by giving you (mostly) full access to the cartridge and CD games. Unfortunately CD support is more of a bonus feature but all the games that I tried worked great. Due to the sheer size of the games, loading takes a bit of time but the various slots you can load them to for later use helps. This is a great option if you don't have room for an arcade cabinet and Neo Geo CD console or just want to enjoy being able to enjoy your games on the couch!

The Neo SD Pro is a wonderful device in my opinion. I like the completeness of being able to do the Neo CD. Admittedly for me the RAM slots are less important-but very nice to have. If you are tossed between the regular Neo SD and the Pro, Go Pro:-)

Just get the original, not the pro. The ram slots are just impatience, and the CD support isn't the full monty.

After purchasing a 161-in-1 multicart for my Neo Geo AES, I realized that I'm missing a ton of the best Neo Geo games that are not on the cart (Windjammers and Ghostlop come to mind).

I decided that the NeoSD Pro would be the best route and I'm definitely not disappointed as it plays every game perfectly, even supporting newer roms that have been released in the past year or two. The huge bonus of supporting a large percentage of the Neo Geo CD library is fantastic too as many CD versions have enhanced soundtracks.

If you own a Neo Geo AES, this is a must have as it will give anyone access to every single Neo Geo game on original hardware.

Does what it should.

I've played through some AES and MVS stuff, no flaws there. NGCD support isn't perfect. You hear occasional loud blips and noises, but the load times are glitchy, but minimal. I recommend either way, hopefully some updates in the future are still possible.
