    I`ve been using the controller to play some classic SNES RPGs and have had absolutely 0 issues or concerns with it. It is a very comfortable controller for sure.

    REVIEW UPDATE 3 --> 5 STARS

    Posted by Michael on Aug 26th 2022

    This is an update to the previous review comparing the the 8bitdo. After further testing with very extensive play sessions of Street Fighter II Turbo on the SNES, I am updating my review of this controller from 3 to 5 stars. Please ignore the previous 3 star rating as there is no option to delete or modify previously submitted reviews. The reason for the update is because I found the Retrobit being far more responsive and easier to pull of those Hadoukens and Shoryukens and Zangief 360s. With the 8bitdo, while initially feels more solid to the touch in terms of build quality and material of the plastic, I was having a much harder time trying to get the said special moves off due to the very stiff feeling of the directional pad. With the Retrobit I was able to pull off moves with far more efficiency and less effort. The 8Bitdo was hurting my thumb after a while. So if you are looking for a wireless controller for the SNES, and if you are a fighting game fan in particular, you will not be disappointed with this Retrobit 2.4Ghz wireless controller.

    Decent wireless option but 8bitdo feels better

    Posted by Michael on Aug 16th 2022

    First and foremost, kudos to the Stone Age Gamer management and staff. It is great to have a game store with an online ecommerce presence who also does customer service right. Now to the review of this controller. I assume many gamers are deciding between this and the 8bitdo 2.4Ghz wireless SNES controller. I own both, and after testing out both extensively, I would recommend the 8bitdo over this Retrobit model for the following reasons. The plastic of the Retrobit feels inferior and almost cheap like it was 3D printed with a higher grade plastic. The 8bitdo feels much more solid in this sense. The Retrobit does have the thumb sticks as an option, but in reality I am not sure how useful these would be if you are just looking to play retro games especially SNES. I also do not know how to manually turn off the Retrobit and it does not mention an option to do so in the manual. With the 8Bitdo you just hold the START button for a few seconds. Overall, this Retrobit wireless controller is not a bad choice by any means especially if you can get it at a discount or use a promo code. But I honestly think the extra 5 bucks you spend on the 8Bitdo is worth it even if that model does not come with a USB receiver. Whereas the Retrobit is a VALUE buy, the 8Bitdo wins in terms of quality. One thing to note is the Grey color of the Retrobit may pair well with the Analogue Super NT Super Famicom version as they are both heavily grey in color scheme. Thanks for reading. Hope this helps fellow gamers decide which wireless controller is the best for them.

    Perfect alternative

    The white version of the Legacy 16 controller is the most beautiful without any doubt for me.
    The feeling in the hands is really nice and enjoyable, the D-pad is perfect, buttons too.
    I didn't noticed any lag, and what can i say more than for the price, you can go for it, eyes closed, you can play with every device you want, it really worth the price.

    Legacy 2.4 Ghz Wireless Controller Retrobit

    Wonderful controller. Works well, the joysticks come in handy for games that use a lot of diagonal inputs like A Link to the past and or a beat em up. Easy to pair and it also gets about 30 ft of wireless distance from console. Shipped right away and arrived in a few days. Overall a great purchase.
