    Best By Far

There is a reason Everdrives quickly sellout: They are a QUALITY product. Worth the wait it was to get my hands on my own and love using it to play on console

    EverDrive GB X7

Posted by Cody B on Mar 11th 2022

I've purchased a lot of Krikzz Everdrive flash cartridges and this one performs well like all the others. I have had no issues with game compatibility and have been primarily using it in a Super GameBoy 2 for my SNES and in a GameBoy Player in my GameCube.

I opted for the Deluxe Edition because the upgrade was on sale when I bought the EverDrive. The included box looks great on a shelf next to my other flash carts. That being said, I can't say the EverDrive typically leaves one of my GameBoy consoles long enough to need to use the box!

Ordered an x7 that had memory issues, contacted Stone Age Gamer support and received a quick replacement, also have previously ordered an n64 everdrive from Stone Age Gamer and definitely recommend them for getting everdrives easily in the US with good returns.

Two in One, double the fun

Posted by AJ on Feb 19th 2022

This is a flashcart for the Gameboy and Gameboy Color, and as such it works in both consoles, and plays both types of games. It works in Gameboy Advances as well, and probably the DS handhelds that have GBA slots, although I haven't tested it myself. Between the two consoles there are a ton of great games worth playing, and this plays everything that I've thrown at it flawlessly. It has a button built into the cartridge that requires the user to essentially squeeze the cartridge in order to access an ingame menu with features like save and load state. It's a bit awkward to use to be honest, but I'm okay with that as it discourages me abusing save states. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in the GB and GBC library.

    Cool little guy

This dude is completely necessary if you want to play Pokémon Gold, Silver, or Crystal, and it's otherwise a very efficient way to play your GB and GBC collection. As a note, your GB and Black Cartridge GBC games can be as .gbc, and will still work on a Super Game Boy or a DMG, additionally, naming the black cart games .gb keeps the extra functionalities on a GBC. Can't believe I forgot to review this till now. :)

    GB X7 (Base)

Posted by Rey G. on Feb 1st 2022

After making the mistake(s) of buying and bricking a cheapo flash cart, this one has turned my Analogue Pocket experience a real pleasure.

The game state feature is great to have when you need breaks (sources say squeeze the cart to save, but I have better results just by pressing just under the cartridge lip, where it says GAME).

I highly recommend this one... and if the price of cheaper, similar-looking ones is calling to you on other sites, consider that you may be back on this in a few weeks.

Why you may want this over the GBA Everdrive X5

Posted by Marcos on Jan 3rd 2022

So, it's true you could use the GBA Everdrive X5 to play GB and GBC games. However, you would be playing your titles in an emulator. Now, that may not be a big deal depending on what game titles you are planning to play because many will work. But, say you want to play titles like the Pokemon games, you will run into problems.

With the Everdrive GB X7, you will not run into issues that you would on the GBA X5 emulator. For example you can save your Pokemon GBC games with the GB X7 where the games won't easily save on GBA X5 emu. Also, Pokemon Crystal has some garbled graphics but it plays properly on the GB X7. Basically, you won't have any emulation issues with the GB X7 that you would have on the GBA X5, because it is basically playing the games natively like it would with normal cartridges.

You just have to ask yourself what GB/GBC titles you want to play. The device is expensive but is cheaper than paying premiums on your favorite titles (especially when you risk buying a bootleg version when you think its legit).
