I was previously using a cheap, multipurpose power supply and noticed a lot of interference and static on the screen. Upon further review, I discovered that the supply was rated at 9V and the SNES says right on it that it requires 10V. Upon receiving this and plugging it in and all of my issues were resolved. If you are looking for a power supply for your SNES, this is the one to get! This is correctly rated at 10V. Don`t waste your time elsewhere.

If you`re buying a retro console, especially one for a good price, you`ll probably need a set of AV cables, a charger, maybe even some controllers.
This AC adapter works great as a replacement for the OEM SNES charger.
Unlike some of the weird combo power units that multiple barrel plugs and are meant to work with both NES and SNES, this set only has one plug, is meant for just the SNES, and actually delivers the correct voltage (10V) to the console.
So much of the reliability of older consoles has to do with having a good and stable power supply. Don`t skimp on the cheap stuff, just get this one and forget about it.
There are a lot of power supplies out there that promise to be compatible, but have different specs. This one matches the SNES exactly. So if that matters to you, this is the one you want. It has become very difficult to replace the oem power supplies.

Works Well, Great product. Good for swapping out of the aging power supply that originally came with the SNES. I like this model better than the other SNES power supply sold here. It has a higher quality wire and it doesn`t have the extra Genesis power wire attached. It is said to also work with the SNES Jr. console. Highly recommended.
