The Furrtek MVS to AES Fusion Converter (Final Revision) allows you to play arcade Neo Geo MVS cartridges directly on a home Neo Geo AES console. This fully assembled kit comes enclosed in a custom white resin-printed shell.
Compatibility & Limitations
- Official Releases: Compatible with virtually all official Neo Geo MVS releases.
- Flash Cartridges: Not compatible with MVS flash cartridges (such as NeoSD MVS, Darksoft MVS, or MVS Pro).
- NG:DEV.TEAM Titles: Not supported (incompatible with MVS-to-AES converters in general).
- Multicarts & Bootlegs: Multicarts (e.g., 161-in-1) and bootlegs are not guaranteed to work. While some users report success depending on the console revision, operation with non-original hardware is hit-or-miss.
Requirements & Technical Notes
- Power Supply: A reliable, properly rated AES power supply is required for stable operation.
- Testing: Every unit is fully tested prior to shipment using games like Super Sidekicks and Puzzle Bobble.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
If you experience video glitches, blue/white screens, or boot issues, this is almost always a contact connectivity issue rather than a converter fault:
- Thoroughly clean the edge contacts of your MVS cartridge with high-concentration isopropyl alcohol (IPA).
- Ensure the MVS cartridge is firmly and evenly inserted into the Fusion pins.
- Reseat the cartridge a few times if necessary to establish a firm connection.
