Does this cable work to power your wireless controller as a wired controller? Yes, it does. You don`t need the re-chargeable battery pack by TTX Tech, but I don`t know why you would not buy both items.
1 star is lost on this cable review because the attachment point to the cable does not lock into your controller port. The cable often falls out of the controller during gaming, which is fine if you have the battery pack in place, but not so good if you were gaming without the battery.
It seems like they could have had the breakaway at the other end of the cable like the original XBox 360 wired controller has. But this issue is insignificant. To have 2 options over using alkaline AA batteries is a major breakthrough.
