This is the Origin8 Wireless Controller from Retro-Bit. It’s a modern wireless solution for the original Nintendo Entertainment System that’s also compatible with the Nintendo Switch and other USB enabled devices. Here’s a closer look.

This is the controller itself. It’s approximately the same size, dimensions, and weight as an original NES controller, with some added modern features. There are built-in Turbo switches for both the A and B buttons, as well as shoulder, home, and share buttons for when the controller is connected to Nintendo Switch.  It comes with an instruction manual, charge cable, and receivers for both NES and USB-enabled devices. Here’s how it works.

For NES, simply plug your receiver into the controller port you wish to use. Once your controller has connected, it will function exactly as a regular NES controller. For Nintendo Switch, pairing works exactly the same way, and the controller will register as a standard USB device, not as an NSO NES Controller. You’re now ready to play your games with a modern NES-style wireless controller.

The Origin8 Wireless Controller from Retro-Bit is available now at Stone Age Gamer, so you can play your favorite NES games from the comfort of your couch. Thanks for watching.
