Finally stereo sound!!! These cables are wired properly for stereo sound. They work perfect with my model 2 sega genesis, sega nomad and super sd system 3
After years of searching for replacement stereo AV cables for a Genesis 2, these are actually pinned "correctly." All of the other replacement cables I've found before these have the white RCA jack wired to the "right" audio pin on the DIN and the red RCA jack wired to the "mono" audio pin on the DIN.
The Old Skool brand cables aren't 100% correct as they have the white RCA jack wired to the "right" pin on the DIN and the red RCA jack wired to the "left" pin, but it's true stereo, so I'm calling this a win.

Is it better than the RF out that comes in with the console - yeah probably
Is it still a muddy composite picture - yes.
Personally, i think this is good for testing a unit to make sure it works or for bundling in with a refurb youre selling, but if you want to use the unit for yourself id go for RGB scart or component.
If your looking for very good AV outputs with stereo for your SSDS3, look know further and pick these up. Great quality and great sound output.
