Quality generic Retrobit controller extension for Sega Genesis and Sega Mega-drive.
Extensions are a must for retro gaming on upgradeern LED/LCD big screens. We all know the original bit graphics will present but too close to the screen and you see blurring. The extension cables allow me to sit anywhere in my game cave with multiple people in the room. Love it!
They do the trick, and don`t seem to give me amy trouble. Worth it to not need to pull my Genesis out of its cubby to play from the couch.
If you like using wired controllers, this is a must have. I love the added length that it offers. The only negative thing about it, and I agree with the other reviewers, is the female connector is a little loose and doesn't hold the controller plug in firmly. If you're not careful, it will come unplugged during play. This is the reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise it works great.
A remedy for the loose fit is to use a little electrical tape. When you plug the controller into the extension cable, just wrap some electrical tape around the connectors and you should be good to go. Just don't leave the tape on there when you're finished, or over time it will leave a sticky mess.
6 more ft is so wonderful when the connection works, but don't move!
I like RetroBit! But the female port is way too bulky to the point it feels like my controller would fall out any moment. But when it works, it works.
