These are the BattlerGC and BladeGC Wireless GameCube controllers from Retrofighters. They provide a modern wireless solution for GameCube, as well as Wii, Wii U, and Nintendo Switch, in two different configurations. Let’s take a closer look.

First, this is BattlerGC. It includes all of the buttons and analog triggers present on the original GameCube controller, with some modern alterations, like turbo functionality, a standard size analog stick in place of the C stick, improved D-pad, and dual shoulder buttons. There’s also an array of buttons specifically for Nintendo Switch controls, like the +, -, and Home buttons.0

This is the BladeGC. It has all the same functionality as the BattlerGC, and is also a similar size and weight as the original GameCube controller. The difference with the BladeGC is a parallel analog stick layout, as well as larger D-pad placed in the upper position, for better ease of use with more 2D focused games, as well as the Game Boy Player attachment.

Both controllers come with a pair of dongles, both USB and GameCube, as well as a charge cable and quick start guide.

To use with Nintendo GameCube, plug the dongle into whichever port you want your controller associated with, and you’re good to go. For Nintendo Switch, plug in the included USB dongle, and put the controller into pairing mode by pressing the button at the top. It will function as a standard Pro Controller.

For any issues connecting or using your controller, you can contact RetroFighters customer service at [email protected]
