The picture looks fine, games are playable and enjoyable, and no noticeable input lag, but the image is stretched to 16:9 with no way to revert to the original aspect ratio 4:3. Even when I set my HD tv to ``normal`` instead of ``wide`` there`s zero difference. This is a huge issue when trying to time difficult jumps in Super Mario World.
I bought this product for a friend for his birthday after he expressed frustration over being unable to hook up his old N64 to a modern TV. After doing some research, I came across this beauty. After talking to him about it, he could never be happier being able to replay his favorite childhood video game memories in crisp 1080p. If you want a budget device to upscale your retro games, I recommend this product.
It works with everything: I tried with my Sega Megadrive, my Playstation and my VHS recorder. I waited for the package, but it`s cool!

I have used several cheap composite to HDMI adapters and this is easily the best one yet. Image quality is hilariously good for the price. Composite is a softer image, but the Old Skool does a great job at keeping as clean an image as you are going to get. I didn't notice an extreme amount of input delay, which I am sensitive to, so that is another huge plus. An issue I ran into with other adapters was sound humming or buzzing. I didnt notice any with this thing. If you are on a budget and need a good AV to HDMI, the Old Skool has you covered.
