These 9 pin controller extension cables are different than others. They have a molded 9 pin connector on the console end, a 5ft long cable and then a custom shell and high quality metal shelled 9 pin connector on the controller end. Most of the cheap extension cables currently on the market have these terribly cheap male connectors that are prone to failure and have pins that are poorly cut and tear up controller cable connectors.
Plus the male end of this cable will accept controllers that use traditional shelled 9 pin connectors rather than molded ones. Best of both worlds!
