Huge step up from cheaper A/V-to-HDMI options!

Perhaps the best part about this device is that it pulls the native S-Video send from your N64. The difference is night & day. Sure, you`re working with low resolution pixels still but IT ELIMINATES THE UGLY GHOSTING which A/V tends to do when converted to HD and that was bothering me more than the resolution itself. The pixels now look beautiful, colorful, and sharp. I wasn`t happy with the standard A/V connection at all but I didn`t want to drop more money than the console`s worth just to improve the video send. This seems to be a great fix for this. There is also a smoothing option like the PS3 has for PS1 discs, but I`m not a fan of that for most games. Do note that because this doesn`t need external power, plugged into HDMI splitters or hubs it may not receive enough power to function and I think that`s why it still has a USB port. I`m impressed by this device and in ways I didn`t expect. I trusted they`d get this right since SNES looks absolutely phenomenal on the Retron 2 HD. Hyperkin has never let me down, even if their trademark is literally & physically cutting corners off all their devices.
