A Good Wireless Pad With Some Issues

Posted by Joe on Oct 27th 2024

This controller is fantastic for most games, but not so great for 3D pad support in games like Nights. The stick is too small and I have an issue where diagonals don`t quite register at full tilt. The triggers also aren`t analog, where they were on the original 3D pad. Otherwise, it`s very comfortable and the buttons all feel great.

    Great SEGA Controller

Posted by Ping on Jul 17th 2024

I bought this controller to play my Mega Drive and Saturn games and it didn`t disappoint.
It has six face buttons, very responsive and good to use. The D-Pad feels great and is very good in controlling all eight directions with no fail. The triggers and shoulder buttons are easy to use. And the sticks take some time to get use to but are not bad.
I should warn you that the sticks are a little short and the triggers are digital, so if those are a deal breaker for you take this in mind.
If you want something for playing pre-Dreamcast games that has all the additions of a modern controller you got yourself one of the best options out there. It can also play modern titles and it feels better than the Switch Pro-Controller in my view.

Great controller for Classic SEGA games

Posted by Ping on Jul 17th 2024

This controller is amazing, it is very intuitive to use, it has an amazing D-pad, very easy to control all eight directions.
Connecting it to PC isn`t hard, although I cannot tell for other platforms.
The buttons are very comfortable to use and very responsive and it enhances the experience of playing pre-Dreamcast games on PC, be it by Steam or any other means.
I bought this controller because I wanted a controller that had the six face buttons layout of the Mega Drive and Saturn but with all the additions of a modern controller, including two shoulder buttons and two triggers, and for the most part it delivers on that.
    However, a few problems.
While the sticks are fine, they are small and less than ideal.
The triggers are digital and this means any game that is built for analogue triggers is going to be a challenge. Fortunately, there are only a handful Saturn games like that.
The manual seems to be based on a prototype of sort because it doesn`t match the controller on several occasions, like how it indicates each mode.
A minor nit-pick is that the L and R buttons are mapped to C and Z (although in the Saturn thr shoulder buttons and triggers are mapped) which means I technically cannot have eight buttons and two triggers experience as I hoped, but most games wouldn`t recognise that many buttons anyway.

In conclusion, this is a great controller for playing Classic Mega Drive and Saturn games with only a few setbacks. If you want a controller for pre-Dreamcast games on PC or Switch that can also play modern games this is the one for you. You can also use it for the Saturn if you don`t mind the triggers and sticks.

    Fantastic!

Controller feels great in the hands. Light enough that your arms don`t tire, but not so light it feels cheap.

Great feeling buttons and d-pad, zero input delay

Posted by Nadia Chassis on May 19th 2024

I`ve only had this controller for a day but I`m already in love. The d-pad is great, very responsive soft clicks, great for fighting games and games where you have to feather your inputs. The buttons have perfect travel time and spring back with a satisfying but gentle pop, so you always know when they can be pressed again. I especially love the feel of the ZR and ZL buttons; they require just enough force to press that you never worry about an accidental press while resting your fingers on them. Fantastic controller, highly recommended.

    Better then expected

Controller is actually pretty good. I used it for saturn games amd come pc games. The thumbsticks actually feel pretty good and i wish more saturn games supported them. Response time is great and over all feel is nice. But itdoesnt work with action replay cartridge so be aware if you have one and purchase this controller.
