This thing is risky to use. I measured them, and at first it was throwing out some nice 9.1V no problem. After just a month, it started throwing very high voltages, and messing up my hardware. Luckily I noticed before any caps blew up. It`s a shame because it has a nice build, but even those awful yellow boxed adapters from Amazon work much better than this.
I mean, it works, that's for sure (for the SNES anyway, on my part, since it's the only console I have that I can use for this thing), plus it's cheap. I just don't like how:
A. it's a slightly tight fit (which means if your console has aging plastic, the power plug input could snap off easier)
and
B. the outer metal part of the plug that goes into the SNES is partially exposed because it's not in all the way even if that's as far as it goes.
You get what you pay for, but honestly, I'd say stick to the original 1st party AC adapter as much as possible if it still works without problems at all or get the better alternatives such as the ones from Console5 or other reputable sources. I'm not saying it's bad, but it gets the job done while at the same time having such drawbacks that may worry some who are concerned about some imperfections that stand out, with little or no electronic knowledge.
Great build quality, doesn't feel cheap. Does exactly what it's supposed to, power on the SNES. Happy with my purchase.
