HD Compatible Cable for Sega Dreamcast - LevelHike
  • Features
Native 480P VGA signal on Dreamcast is converted to digital HDMI signal and displayed on all modern HDTVs/monitors/projectors (Some games [around 10% of library] that are not compatible with VGA display won't work)
  • Easy to Use & Hassle Free
Come with all needed cables. Detachable design so you are welcome to use your own high-end or extended HDMI cable as you want. Connect console & television with cable via HDMI and no extra power supply needed
  • Awesome Image Quality
At this price, our cable provides best signal processing with great precision, colors, resolution and details (Adjust the aspect ratio 16:9 or 4:3 anytime if TV setting supports)
  • VGA Games
Only Dreamcast titles that are VGA compatible can function well with our cable because of utilizing VGA signal only.
But what about the non-VGA games? Don't worry, around 50% of these non-VGA games can be hacked by some boot discs like "codebreaker".
Below are 2 websites for reference:
  • Issues
1. Image Shifting to One Side
There are 2 ways to fix it:
(1) Unplug the cable then replug it into console.
(2) Turn TV on after running the DC console. If your DC is on already, just turn off TV first then back on.
2. Sound Issue
If you have the sound that sounds off, please change your TV sound mode from what you have it on to something like theater or sport mode.
  • Console Compatibility
Our HD link cable here works with both PAL and NTSC systems.
  • Manual Adjustment
Our cable's colors have been specifically calibrated for Dreamcast DC.
However final display doesn't only depend on our cable quality but what games you are playing and TV quality.
Try to adjust the higher backlight or brightness, dynamic setting or other parameters on TV if you want to improve the display more.

    It works

Cable works as expected, and is definitely sharper than my old regular composite cables when connected to my 4k TV.

    A decently cheap solution

I didn't have much luck with the Saturn version of this cable, the audio channels were reversed and suffers from a lot of interference, but I decided to go ahead and try the Dreamcast version and was very satisfied. It had none of the issues I had with the Saturn cable and the overall pictures looks a lot better. There was no noticeable input lag either.
