I got this to replace my stock Genesis 1 power adapter, as it was delivering a constant buzzing noise. I was drawn in by the low price, but unfortunately you get what you pay for. Whilst this fixed the audio interference, it added tons of noise to the image that wasn't previously there. In my case, it added noisy horizontal scrolling lines across the image. There are *much* better options for power adapters out there than this.
I didn`t notice the buzzing the other reviewers mentioned. It`s a small adapter that seems functional.
It will do the job but there are better adapters out there.
Makes a bit of a buzz but more importantly i just dont trust it to deliver the power safely for the console.
Do the research and pick up some of the better options (like the triad) or even a ps2 slim adapter which has a voltage regulator built in
Don't get this as it makes a loud humming sound compared which the official Sega brand.
